Hello everyone! I hope you are all well!. I made this vid private for a spell to edit a few mistakes and when i made it public again all your wonderful comments disappeared! They came back shortly so I managed to reply to a few, but now they have disappeared again. I am so sad and sorry! So gutted as they were so lovely and was so excited to have a proper sit down and respond to you all! I have a bit more to learn about RU-vid. Jo your quiet calm stare at your camera slipping, then your slow blink and tape in hand. You my friend have a great sense of humor. I just think your adorable. Also, the fact that your tumble in the woods inspired you to illustrate this experience, I had a chuckle at this with the squirrel being curious and taking notice and obviously concerned! I just love your animations and illustrations. What a wonderful experience going to visit that amazing, wooded area so beautiful! I see why the squirrels like it there

What a sad thing about the red squirrels, how they're being pushed out by the grey ones. Here in Poland still the red ones are dominant. Of course the grey ones are also lovely. Anyway, you live in a fantastic place.

After working in the arts for over 20 years I became handicapped with a spine disorder I did not know I was born with, I am disabled and retired at a young age and I use to beat myself up all the time if I was not working on a project but where I live now, I do not have the space for a full size studio. It took me a long time to be ok with " do the best you can and just have fun" I am glad to see you have such a healthy outlook about it. You have been given a special talent, your work is enchanting and heart warming, if You want to spread awareness for nature use your art. Your a true Gem. P.S. I can relate to the struggles of being different, I have bamboo spine and that makes it so I can not stand up right or lift my arms over my head, I look like a 101 year old hunch back lady, LOL. I am also Scottish/American. Something about Scottish people and our rare luck.

How magical that the red squirrel led you to his hideout-like he knew he could trust you. You mentioned about the Treacher Collins syndrome-which honestly is no one's business but your own. But has anyone mentioned how absolutely beautiful your eyes are? The color is stunning and they are so luminous. I absolutely love your videos.

Hello JoAnne! Thanks for another video. I love the red squirrels. They do live on the Isle of Wight too. I used to see them in Parkhurst Forest. The would chatter really loudly at you and throw half eaten pine cones as you walked underneath! Very grumpy but very pretty. How lovely to have all those different cultural influences. It shows in your work. My daughter told me about the huldra with the hollow back. …pretty scary! I’m not surprised it scared you as a child. Love the inky woodland picture ❤

I watched the moment at 1:16 like 5 times now lol, I love your humor. Also, the shape of your lips are SO pretty during that moment. The upcurve at the eges reminds me of how they paint mouths on those fancy porcelain dolls, maybe it's strange to notice, but I'm an artist myself and I find this small detail very beautiful. 😯🩷

Jo, Watching you create your beautiful forest scene was mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing your work and your adventures. I’m glad the sweet little red squirrels have a sanctuary on Brownsea. Your video captured them expertly and reminded me of the work of two other creative nature artists, Racey Helps and Beatrix Potter, who immortalized these bright-eyed woodland creatures in their paintings. We have no red squirrels here, but in a few places here in the US, we can find white squirrels (a variant of the gray, which we have in abundance). I’ve been lucky enough to spy a white squirrel on the campus of Brevard College in North Carolina.
