We rode from Southern California to Sturgis on the new 121 VVT Street Glide CVO. Throwing down a couple thousand miles on the road truly put this bike to the test, and we wanted to share our thoughts on the latest from Harley Davidson's coveted Custom Vehicle Operations line.

$43K for oil and coolant leaks and bad suspension. That's a shame. As you said that'll leave room for improvement, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

43k ? In my neck of the woods my local dealer wants 43k plus 1k freight, 15k in dealer add on fees then ttl. That’s mid to low $60’s out the door. They nuts. Then you need to upgrade shit? The money that people will pay for a emblem is mind blowing.

@@1962egl I don't disagree, while the Feuling CVO may be a "4:30pm Friday before a three day weekend build" the quality needs to be there first. Are you listening HD?

Brother that’s a lot of ailments for a new ‘23 CVO. Not crazy about all the changes, the saddlebags look too euro for me. That stock air cleaner looks like a shoe box; I’d MUCH rather be sporting Feulings BA Air Cleaner. It’s starting to not feel like a Harley anymore to me. Some will love it and the big IMAX screen in the fairing. It’s too much a “pretty” bike. I’d rather stick to a 2018-2021, throw my money at upgrades bullet-proofing my motor, and custom paint.

4,200 miles on mine the first month, which includes trip to Sturgis from Houston, TX, best riding bike Harley has ever made. Suspension, braking, power/torque is all on point. I agree with the seat. Definitely not a touring seat. My butt was aching from that 3,000 mile trip. Liquid cool keeps the bike nice and cool, CarPlay, Garage Door Opener Homelink are all nice.

No mechanical issues?

@@markmcintosh7095 No mechanical issues on his Bike. I have one as well no leaks of coolant issues either. Suspension has been great but takes time to dial in properly and you can't just go by the book on setting it up. I don't like the seat either. Overall, Harley did a great Job. Keeping tuned for Feulings improvements and more importantly tuning options, which has been a very quiet segment when it comes to this bike.

Love the honest review. Thank you for that! I've heard nothing but great things about your products, definitely going to consider one of your cams for our older Road Glide build. 👊🏼

thanks for the review... for the amount of money HD is charging for this bike, it should be a lot more refined. do they intentionally design their seats to be uncomfortable? your experience with the suspension was not as rosy as some others. I think many of the current reviews were intended to maintain a friendship with HD Corporate. I sat on this bike in the dealership. and I can say that I was still giddy over my 2023 SG 107 all the way home. I paid $22,000 before taxes. that is less than half of what you are going to pay for the new bike. I was not overly impressed. heck, the number of switches alone on the handlebar were mind numbing. it reminded me of an airplane cockpit. you had better ride that bike 365 days a year so you do not forget what each one does. if you cannot tell, I like simplicity. the digital screen looked nice. and it was okay. if I had a choice, I prefer the analog gauges. the buyer had better purchase an extended warranty. heck, the tv screen on that thing is going to cost $4000 to replace. any hoot. I hope HD does well with this new engine. one question is whether they have eliminated the overheating issue. I would never pay this much for two wheels. and, I have zero interest in being HD's test rat while they iron out the bugs. in the past, it has taken HD several years to resolve serious issues. my two cents : - )

The chopped bags just don’t make any sense with a full length exhaust. I know they trying to give the bike performance bagger feature’s but anyone who chops their bags to do wheelies are running a shortened exhaust. Otherwise what’s the point of chopping them?
