Having comfortable seating near the woodstove makes so much sense. Cozy and the place you want to be! Inviting in any season because it seems the center of the home. Nice move. Love the throws and pillows, and that small painting is so special.

OMG, I have that painting in what I have always thought was the original...my parents bought it in Europe when my dad was stationed in Germany . It’s signed H. Albert ‘58. It’s on my mantle right now, much bigger but exactly the same!! So fun!! Edit: Just saw the comment that it’s a copy of a painting from 1670! Awesome!!

Wow great finds! The pillows...😍 The Anchor cookie jars are alot cheaper here in MI though. I get the biggest size(it's about 15" tall and a two hand carry) brand new at Walmart for about $13. Maybe you could order them online for about that, but I love e finding them second hand. They translate so well in every room!

My favorite idea I got from you was using a pretty teacup for a scoop. 💐 I have that same clear jar with lid and I bought mine at Crate and Barrel. 🕊 Yes that windmill is beautiful, lucky for you🌱

Have fun! Staring with a mostly blank slate gives so much room for inspiration! I also suggest getting really comfortable with Pinterest boards for all of your spaces so you can hone down the things you really like (even if they're sort of subconscious)!

I love all of your finds. They are always so timeless and classic which is what I gravitate towards. I have seen different home tours you have done. I am wondering where you all eat dinner if you take the table out. I don't remember seeing another table in your home .

Hi Julie! I'm sorry for the delayed response! Until we finally have a chance to build the addition to our house that we've always dreamt of to make a real dining room, we'll eat at the kitchen bar and on the couches! That's often where we ended up congregating anyway!

Some great finds! I love the informal sitting on the floor big cozy sweater. I have a similar jar that I filled with my mother’s old cookie cutters. That basket would look cute with a fringed edge or maybe a white painted band.

Is there anyway you could show how you keep your groceries put away and counters clean. I seem to always have bread, onions, fruit utensils etc... how do you keep your kitchen look clutter-less and buetiful and still have the stuff to feed people?!

Hi Sarah! I recently picked up a couple of feather pillows while thrifting I'm wondering if there's anything i can do to stop the feathers from coming out all the time.

Oh yes, this has to do with the low quality of the fabric that is holding the feathers. When this happens, I just take some thicker fabric and make a new cover. You can just pop the old pillow right inside and stitch it closed.

I don’t know why anyone would over pay for those glass jars. Walmart sells them and the largest one is $13.99. Very heavy and good quality. I’ve bought mine there and I saw them there the other day.

How do you clean the pillow covers and inserts? I see pillows at thrift stores but avoid them because I don't know how to clean them.

You can try bug spray. I use bug spray for stickers/tape on windows/glass. Works great. Don't know if it takes paint off though or if you would like to use it if you're using it to store food.

What’s the label? Planters Peanuts had jars with labels and are worth big money now. You can probably use Totally Awesome spray cleaner from dollar tree. That stuff is amazing.

Just because it works doesn't mean it's right. You never, ever knot your wires........#1......you would be better off paying an I.B.E.W. Local electrician than frying your home and possibly your dear ones
