Great video shame the injectors were the limiting factor but agree 1050 ID are the way to go run them on mine as you know

Thank you Duncan ,that was very informative. It's nice to see you work .. and hear how u make judgements, However why did u stop before detonation on the first car ? What was the rational there ? And would turning up fuel pressure help the 2nd car ? Thank you Appreciate all you do for us

Stopped because tthe afr was lean. Didnt want to risk it on the first run. Both Kev and I heard 1 click of det later on in another run but that was just easy to tune out. Grants car - was std fpr so not an option. Plus it would need to have been turned up so much it would be a risk of overheating the fuel. Glad you enjoyed it Doug

Ah.. Wouldn't have been able to turn it up enough to make that difference up.. The bigger injectors are the solution 😎

Hi. It's not possible to convert over. You can use some of the values in the boost control side to get you close on that but all ignition and fueling tables are needing mapping completely again. Hth

Thanks. I only ever use bhp as whp figures vary vastly between dynos that they are nowhere near comparable.. Certainly here in the UK with the various mfrs of dynos

I noticed you had to target afrs in the 10s to get actual afrs in the 11s. Would this not be needing an adjustment to the maf curve to make your target and actual afrs line up?

The reality is far more important than adjusting maf curve so that the target matches. It's not closed loop on boost 👍

Yeah tuned lots of them. They struggle to make much boost so need a 3 port but normally a good gain in both torque and power 😎

Q: Should a car be mapped with the "worst" fuel it will ever run? Take my example, I would say this my refuel location "pattern": 60% Shell Vpower 20% Repsol 98 20% Alves Bandeira 98 (local fuel station from Portugal, let's call it AV) Theoretically the worst fuel is from AV. If I was to map my car should it be done on AV? Great video... this is like watching a professional sportsman ... everything looks so easy. :D

Thanks Pedro.. Yes if you map for the worst fuel that you have to use it will be the safest or just use the best fuel and take it easy if you put lower quality fuel in it. Galp 98 is very similar to vpower, repsol 98 seems slightly worse. And.. Thank you very much. I have been doing it a while now so everything is muscle memory 🙏

Hello sir. I have a wrx sti 2013 179k km on the engine. What should I do ? Sell it ? I don’t have money to rebuild the engine. I have the motivation to self rebuild the engine. Such a dilemma, actually someone will come and have a look at the car. Pls advice me

Hi. Does it need a rebuild ? I have mapped those ej257 engines with 250 thousand miles on (nearly 400k kms) without issue. If maintained well, there should be no reason for failure.

@@racedynamix no. Till now only those secondary air injections broke down. Car still runs. But to be honest it would be a dream to rebuild the engine. Couldn’t you maybe make a rebuild engine video a ej25 egine around 08-13 pleeeaaasseeeee ppppleaaaseee
