Subjugating the Franks! | Angevin Empire | EU4 1.35 Domination 

Pax Angevine - I - France is Gone *A CENTURY OF WAR* November, 1444. France and Britain hold a fragile peace during the ongoing One Hundred Years War. For over a century, France and England had been locked in a bitter war over who would rule France. Borders, leaders, dynasties all changed but the goal remained the same: the subjugation or independence of France. By 1444, France was on the road to victory and England would soon be embroiled in chaos. It would take skill leadership and frankly, a miracle to turn the war and perhaps, history, to England's favour. In 1446 relief washed over the royal Court when King Henry VI finally had an heir, securing the royal succession and preventing a bloody Civil War. This meant the Kingdom could turn its focus back to its true enemy, the French. In September of that year, Charles VII of France lead an Army to the city of Maine demanding its surrender per the Treaty of Tours signed in 1444. No English man would ever surrender anything to the French willingly, the Treaty was broken and war was reignited. France once again had Scotland on their side, meaning for the time being the English Army would be divided between the continent and Scotland. For its part England had Burgundy and Aragon on their side. This war led to two lines of thought in the English Court: Should England isolate itself to the British Isle and leave the mainlanders to their own affairs or should England reclaim the throne of France and dominate the European continent? Ultimately, the Continental school won out, England and France would be united under the English crown and French could do nothing about it. In March 1447, Paris finally fell to the English Army. With the English preoccupied with France, the Scots invaded Northumbria and smashed the English Army station there, temporarily destroying any chance of an English invasion of Scotland. This Scottish incursion would soon be crushed but England and Scotland were left in a stalemate. France however had been completely annihilated by 1449, her Armies had been destroyed, her coffers were empty and her lands had been burned. With France out of the picture, the English reunited their forces for a push into Scotland. The Scots had been counting on a divided England and stood no match against the entire English Army. On the 2nd of May 1450, The One Hundred Years War finally came to an explosive conclusion after 113 Years of on and off fighting. England and France were now united under one King, the King of England. The Continentals and of course, the French, were mildly upset with this change in management but with the power and wealth and England and France at their fingertips, there was nothing stopping the English from becoming the masters of Europe. *HISTORY OVER* Congrats on the kiddo, kinda wild to think you're a father now. Glad to see you back and can't wait to see where this campaign goes!

We pronounce it , in French , « an » like anterior but without pronouncing to much the n, « jeu» like juice and « eu » like same in heuristic without the h and the u , and « vin » but the i and the n form a sound that you can find when people say « moulin rouge » , the n is not pronounced

Another nice new thing you might see in vanilla, is that they changed the flag for England, and removed the French quarters in it at the start, so it's just the three lions. You get the old flag when you found the Angevin state, btw.
