Thanks for sharing, I've Pioneer 3003 motor 97oz lying around and planning of doing 8" build. Do you think that motor will give me at least 500rms on 8" ?? Again is this the same 6 spokes basket on LOB website?

what is the VC diameter on the 97oz? test lord of bass 6 spoke

@@MrM_Full-Send Pole diameter=55mm Top plate Diameter =60mm so VC = 2.2" and from load of LOB JL Audio 12W3 & 10W3 is the only coil close to those specs

Can you build me a 5000 RMS sub if not can you point me in the direction where I can get some parts to build it myself

Yes to both. Building a 5k sub isn’t difficult. I would recommend a 3-4 layer nomex spider, 15” Ti basket, 600oz motor (4” VC gap) and 8 layer dual 1 ohm 4” voicecoil for starters. Mega or tall roll surround cone. All parts can be purchased from lord of bass. I would lean towards DIY.

Epoxy between basket and motor is never needed. Use threadlocker instead. If your bringing this sub to market, I hope you are having a factory build them for you.

🤔 thank you for your kind words!! Many companies use adhesive between the basket and motor. When you expose yourself to a wider range of products you will see more variation. You learn that there is more than one “right” way to do things. That being said, It would not be realistic for me to market anything that I was building 1 at a time, so yes they were factory built.
