I have less than $400 debt, working on my credit score, developing multiple streams of income. 2015 = homeless, 2018 = nice two bedroom apartment and now a small business owner. Not wealthy but getting there one baby step at a time.

Thank you for praising my Vietnamese people!! We believe in capitalism and invest in ourselves wisely. I was taught to buy cars in cash, do not borrow more than you need, always start small and be modest with lifestyle. The fact we don’t lean on credit and live on a cash-basis is the reason we get ahead on our personal finance. My parents buried their money, that was their envelope of cash for all major purchases. Can’t afford it in cash, can’t afford it even more on credit!

I don't understand how some people could dislike informative and self-improvement videos such as this.

Paid 70% of my debt so far. It's funny how some people think you're weird.

Dave, you give us the common sense we need. I am 24 years old, and I'm so glad i bumped into you early. I am currently using your debt snowball to get out of the $3,900 student loans and then tackle the car loan (15k)

Never sacrifice your own comfort for the next generation because the next generation most of the time don't appreciate your sacrifice. Give an education and good values and the next generation will succeed. Parents think that money is the only thing kids need and forget to give them time cause they are too busy making money.

Mr. Ramsey, please find away to teach or reach the young military personel, how are throwing their hard earnest money away by parting, drinking, buying new cars. Financial success, independence is not taught in any military branch. I know I was one of them. Please help these you men and woman.

Live like no one else and later you will get to give and live like no one else!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save money. Get OUT of debt. Save a good percentage of your income. Invest. Pay cash for EVERYTHING including your children's COLLEGE TUITION.

Thanks for being so consistent with your message Dave, we proved it could be done by paying off over $60k in 3 years and now...WE'RE DEBT FREE!!!!! 👏👍 Now to continue on to baby step 3☔️ & then 3b🏡!!!

I like your food analogy towards the end there. Indeed it's not 'societies' fault that your overweight. Although, there are indeed influences in society pertaining to food that you'd want to be aware of to avoid, especially if that's your vice. You wouldn't use those society pressures as an excuse...instead you'd use the knowledge of them as a tool to defeat them. Understanding your environment so that you may control it

That's right, I'm a living proof of it. I came to this great country from a 3rd world country legally, I have been blessed in some many ways.

I was born in Asia and migrated to this country legally. I can tell you how different the mindset of me teaching the kids than my husband who was born here in the US. It's such a frustrating process with him.

Im arab-latina and this is true... obviously we were already millionaires in my fathers country but i wanted to fly solo to make my own money and my mom who is mexican american helped me to build a great business in the usa... and sometimes i cant understand how some americans do not take the advantage of being born AMERICAN CITIZENS.... i see so many friends of my mom who are undocumented and made it big with no papers with little money and that gave them the chance to get granted a visa and legal status because they create jobs.... and even tho me i came obviously LEGAL and i turn 10 ks investment into millions !! At 27 years old

Dave, hope you are well these days! Just thought I'd share something. I tried to get some people excited about paying off debt as well as provide them with resources to your videos and such - I was met with resistance and hatred. Perhaps I didn't word it correctly but "everyone seems to be a victim".....Awful. Hey, I appreciate what you are doing and it's definitely worthy advice! Christ is the King. Peace ya'll

wish i lived in the USA.............Oh and by the way in the UK we don't save up for our childrens college fund................when they go off to Uni at 18 they take out loans for the length of their degree and the children pay off their loans when they finish their degree and start work..............so ye our kids/young adults are in debt by 30k to 100k for tuition fees depending on which degree course they took..........plus they take out loans for living expenses too........years ago in the UK this was all free...............how times have changed.....so students today have a 30k to 100k loan before they get a job plus a living expenses loan plus each year a percentage (which is going up each year) is then added on to the loans...........even after their degree their first job is usually around 20k plus (that's if their lucky enough to get a job with so much unemployment) HARD TIMES !!!

Gosh I really can't get it on why that some people doesn't belive in America. Since it's the only country that I heard that gaves anyone the opportunity in one generation to become a millionaire. I don't live in America but I definitely could assure you that I rarely heard news of people in my country, become a millionaire in my country except people who migrate to my country

The Walton's have no control over their company see the documentary made by an heir to the family fortune of the Johnson and Johnson fortune his name is Jamie Johnson. He made 3 films starting from 10 years ago.I can say that even they do not have the best education. Because his dad says what can I do? It's what is called "Old Money".They are caught up in a system that was designed so it would not be easy to change.

I work as a security guard oh you can't go out on the balcony yet some rich people can, watch a baseball game and get free starbucks coffee. Why they get thst special treatment what I do not count because I am not rich, I work for my money and I am keeping you and your environment safe but this is how I am treated daily!

I belive some people are afraid of leaving a kegacy with what types are in their family , i do agree with Dave hes correct particularly with legal immigrants , they came from hunger and so did the families.

Even though Dave has a lot more money than I do, I would not trade places for anything. I am a bit older and way more fit. Also, I do have enough money for a very comfortable life. Figured out the debt trap long before I heard of Dave. I enjoy listening to Dave and how he helps the less financially literate. By the way, I am an atheist. I point this out because Dave's financial wisdom is universal, not biblical.

The reason legal immigrants have a higher chance of becoming millionaires is 2 fold imo. Many of these are Chinese/Indians. We get to select the best talent among over 2 billion people. So many of these people are very bright engineers and programmers. Of the low educated that come over. You're much more likely to take a risk and be an entrepreneur if don't have the degree/certification for a solid job.

Working 2 jobs and making 106k a year have 39k in debt bring it on baby capital one your going away 1st 🎉

Easy. Why is it?. This is from personal experience. My personal talks with immigrants. They cannot believe how easy it is to borrow money in this country. They borrow and risk, because when you come from zero, and someone lends you hundreds of thousands, you have a new lense on life. Add to that the cultural basis of spend less and save more. Your question is answered.
