That is the best crown result I’ve seen. I’ve heard that having the crown done is seen as risky or in some cases a no no. But your result proves that it can be successful. Your hair looks great everywhere sir.

Your hairline and crown look ace. I think bringing the hairline down any lower would have probably been a waste of valuable grafts. Finasteride has worked superb for me. My crown was receeding at 20, I started finasteride at 21 and 8 years later I still have a full crown. Fingers crossed it works for you too.

I'm planning to go to Turkey and like you my crown is the worst part of my mpb. The front is fine and I've asked the transplant clinic to simply fill the crown but like you said the transplant needs to be balanced, I'll have to decide when I get there.

That looks amazing! I recently had my crown done (a little over 2 months ago) and am in the waiting part 😢. I had roughly 1800 units implanted. My crown wasn’t quite as thin as yours however it was thinner over a larger area so I’m anxiously waiting for month 4-6 to see some hair.

Great result. I think you had a lot of regrowth from the finasteride more so than the transplant alone. I can't imagine such few grafts have made such a difference. The crown typically takes 3-4k grafts and is still then fairly thin, whereas yours is dense. Well done

Some people are hyper responders to finasteride, and finasteride can be particularly effective in the crown area.

Dutasteride + Oral Minoxidil is what works best.

I took Finasteride and Minoxidil for 12 months pre Transplant It didn’t do that much, possibly stopped getting worse I’m now on Dutasteride daily and minoxidil post 12 weeks. It’s coming through. I’m the same as you with hair loss. Same graft numbers same balding. Hope my crown looks as good as yours. Cheers from 🇦🇺☀️👍

Looks nice, but what about the side effects of Finasteride and Minoxidil? That alone made me opt out from doing a transplant all together.

Hi! Your results are amazing! I just got my second hair transplant on the crown area and consider taking minoxidil to increase the density and speed the growth stage and hopeully also skip the shedding phase as much as possible. When did you start taking minoxidil after your ht and did you also use a dermaroller? And if so which length did you start with? And when did you start using it less than 2 times a day? Ive had around 2000 grafts on my crown area and my doctor said it is gonna cover my crown. Do you think the transplanted grafts will fall out if I stop using minox after like a year or so? My doc said its not necessarry to use minox but like I said I want to speed the process since the crown area takes longer to grow because of the lower blood circulation compared to the front. I hope you’ll answer my questions it would really help me. Thanks in advance :)

I had 2 sessions of hair transplant, the 1st was in December 2021 and after 6 months i had the 2nd HT. I noticed the 1st HT the hair grows faster that the 2nd. Is the crown area take a long time to make the hair grows?

Was reading up on the side effects of finasteride such as losing your sex drive and difficulty coming during sex? Do you feel any difference taking them. Thanks John

Ive looked at atleast 1000 case studies and never seen 1000 grafts work even close to that big an area. I guess technically it’s partially your midscalp and partially your crown. And not the angled part of crown which seems most problematic. Man you are so lucky. Crazy in 10 months too as crowns take longer usually to fill in if even successful at all. Like 14-16 months. I suspect you maybe changed health approached in addition to the meds.
