Pardon me with my ignorance but from time to time in this series i see Sultanas, talking to someone in a private room the 2 of them why do they put a portable folding wall in between them? Is that an ottoman thing? Or a muslim thing?

Partially Muslim thing partially etiquette thing I think. But it's inconsistent in the show; this pasha wouldn't have been allowed to see Hurrem at all.

Let me give you a lesson on Ottoman etiquette. Women were always required to cover their hair and chest. Also Ottoman women could meet other men only in company of their husband or any other male family member. And even if they met they were not allowed to see each other and there was always a folding wall or curtain between them. But Hurrem could most probably do this because not only she was a free woman, she was the legal wife of the emperor and thus was the empress of the empire. She had many political connections and regularly met with state dignitaries only with one of the loyal eunuchs.
