Sunrise run up Ben Lomond. The early start was hard, but worth it!

Leaving Glasgow at 4.30am, I headed up to Rowerdennan on the banks of Loch Lomond to run up the mountain Ben Lomond. A Scottish Munro coming in at 974m. A glorious morning and a simply stunning sunrise! Loved it ♥

Amazing, thanks for sharing this experience. Not sure ive the confidence to hit the hill in the dark but glad to see its doable

Thanks! Yes doable but certainly easier on a hill you know well and don't need to think about navigation!

McLovin' it! 🥰 Although, where's our boy Charlie? I trudged past Ben Lomond while hiking the WHW last year... I did, briefly, consider diverting to clamber up it but then I came to my senses. Next time.

Haha, yeah no Charlie Chops on this run. Too many sheep up on the hill so dogs need kept on a lead... And Charlie doesn't do well on a lead 😂 well done on WHW, Ben lomond will be there for another time!
