It might be depression too. Probably the best way to make sure it's in fact only burnout is to try something entirely different for some time. Variety, IRL stream of handy crafting or drawing, trying music production, etc. Overwatch is pretty taxing on mental if you play tank, especially on the ranked ladder. The experience matches the textbook definition perfectly: burnout can occur when a person feels out of control, lacks autonomy, rewards, or support, or has to do tasks that conflict with their sense of self or goals.

Super needs to do more variety. He's genuinely entertaining regardless of the game he plays and he's big enough to keep a somewhat big enough audience to keep him afloat.

man, i feel so bad for dafran, getting sniped by multiple cheaters must feel pretty shit. this is the lowest point of the ow. cant even ban cheaters anymore. i always thought ow had the least amount of cheaters among the competitive multiplayer games.

How long has Super been streaming? I cannot remember the last time he took a break from streaming. He defo should have a period away from streaming just to recharge his batteries. Just take a step back. On paper, having no motivation to get up and just laying in bed for hours and feeling like crap is one of the first stages of depression. As someone who's experienced the worst of it he needs to put himself first and streaming second.

After I saw the first clip, I immediately went to the comments. We hope it's not the depression signs some of us have gone/are going through. I hope Super gets to talk to someone and gets a professional opinion, but those are classic signs. It's just the Overwatch Fatigue, it's getting to everyone. PVE Cancellation, Failure of Dev communication, total ignorance of feedback towards game balance, and brutally predatory marketing practices, that shit adds up. The mental state of OW2 is back where we were in Season 6 and this time, no new shiny skin is gunna save us. What's more, Marvel Rivals is having a Beta this month. Other games are literally capitalizing on our downfall. I think our days in Overwatch are numbered.

Welcome to my TED talk: OW2 gives you dopamin when you play so your brain wants more. usually you get serotonin at the end which makes you happy. OW2 rarely does that, because even wins feel "neutral" to you. When you lose you get a "denial of reward" which usually stops the behaviour that led to it. In OW2 its different because you queue again in hopes of a different outcome that finally gives you dopamin. People also overestimate their skill and contribution to the game because of the "dunning krueger effect". thats why you flame your teammates and its never your fault. all these factors lead to an absence of serotonin, even tho your brain gets flooded with dopamin. your brain even increases the receptors on your neurons for dopamin over time. thats why "every day" tasks like getting out of bed, brushing your teeth etc. get surprisingly difficult. they only give you a little dopamin but that not enough to get you motivated like in the past. your reward system in your brain has changed and your motivation for "every day" activities drop lower and lower. cant watch a movie without your phone as a disctraction? your affected.

Hit the gym and get more long term goals

Guys don't you love when youre advocating for 6v6 to come back and then someone says OW2 problems aren't from 5v5 but when you ask them to provide a single point they call you delusional and block you 😃 I played eSports for two years on this game and I can't even get people to engage in an argument, literally there's no reason for 5v5 the games TRASH

Super needs to diet better and get more sun. Our body is programmed to handle so many ailments and emotions but now we are forced medication or things like this. Take care of your body and mind and it will take care of itself, we are very powerful as humans not in a gay corny way but for real.
