Super Password bonus round. Sally S. is giving the clues to a contestant. They are playing for $50,000. This is the 2nd highest jackpot ever. Hosted by Bert Convy.
One of the best winner reactions ever. This is what I love about these shows.... the celebrities are genuinely thrilled for the contestants. This is nothing but pure unadulterated JOY.
I agree with you. This is one great win, loved the reaction for the $50,000 Win. Another great win was with Patty Duke with a contestant who was paralized after a car accident. She won $20,000 in the end game.
A great idea for an All-Star Super Password special would've been to have a salute to All In the Family. Sally Struthers reuniting with Rob Reiner, Jean Stapleton, and Carroll O'Connor would've been absolute gold.
Well 3 Game Show Legends on 1 Stage The Late Bert Convy host of TattleTales, Super Password, the syndicated Win, Lose or Draw, America's Sweetheart Sally Struthers who was a Sub-Host for Win, Lose or Draw on NBC Daytime and of course, Pat Sajak who still host Wheel of Fortune since 1981 God Bless'em All and R.I.P. to Bert Convy, I wonder did Bert and Burt Reynolds ask Sally to fill in for Vicki on the Daytime Version
@WastedPo Thank you. This is expecially true, given that today's games are totally brainless. This, and Dick Clark's PYRAMID required real skill and intelligence and not just picking a fucking suitcase.
There seems to be near-universal consensus that the people of today are intelligent and hip, and the people and entertainment of the 80's was "cheesy." To test that theory, please watch this clip (or any clip of Dick Clark's 'Pyramid') and observe the sincere humanity on display. Then watch a clip of a "cool" modern show like Deal or No Deal in which the contestants and audience members alike behave like preening sociopaths. Of the two, which looks like a deleted scene from "Idiocracy?"
TIed for the second highest, as a few other people got $50K. Two people got $55K, in 1986 with Janis Paige and 1988 with Audrey Landers(Kerry Ketchum AKA Patrick Quinn)
