It's ok imo, because it gives me the feeling that Perfect Chaos is gonna be serious. (Let's forget about the fact Perfect Chaos is one of the easiest bosses in Sonic's franchise)
God I miss the days when Sonic games had Super Sonic boss fights at the end, a story that actually paced itself well and Sonic was being Sonic, and of course Crush 40 kicking ass with the music.
Lot of people say that this game was the first to have super sonic and his first look... Did everyone forget about sonic the hedgehog 2 or am I just missing something?
Fun fact: Originally in this game, Perfect Chaos was supposed to have skins on his body like his Generation design. But couldn’t happen due to limitations with the Dreamcast. When Generation was in development, they picked up Chaos’s original design and with the more powerful hard drive of the PS3 and Xbox 360, they can now finally use the design. So really, the “overhaul” that Chaos received in Generation was actually always meant to be, just that consoles not powerful enough got in the way. But I like his design here since he really looks cool than just being a discounted Biollante.
I watched Perfect Dark Gaia from Sonic Unleashed after watching this, and the way that video game presentation improved in those 10 years is just staggering. Not discrediting this masterpiece though, I mean they did their best with the technology available and Generations proved that this boss is just as epic with updated graphics
Either the brain, the nuclear heat beam, or nuclear pulse. The way I see it, Perfect Chaos looks just like Biollante. Also, Godzilla could also try to harness the power of the chaos emeralds, he was able to harness King Ghidorah's in GMK

Well I get what u mean in terms of graphics yeah but the gameplay of the boss battle is what makes up for it it's still an incredible game to this day In my opinion
i have this game for dreamcast and for me, its the best game ever. the story is intense and the characters are connected to each other, specially in Tikal's story
I remember the First Time I Saw this, I was like 6 years old and It was my First Sonic Game, thanks to this, I started to Love Sonic Games more than Mario, and Why?, for the MUSIC, damn... The Music in this Boss was SO EPIC when I was a Child, I loved a Lot Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. But man, If a 6 years old Sonic Fan sees this Fight for this First Time, its Beautiful and Epic for him. I'm 14 years old now, and I keep loving Sonic Games like in the Beginning...! It would be sooo Good that This Game Has a Remake
I rememebr seeing this the first time,..me and my buddy james watching and how pumped we got when he turned into super sonic. that feeling you get.. time to kick some seriouse ass,..you're going DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me, the biolizard was the hardest Sonic boss (I died like 12 times. Damn little red balls of death. I beat the final hazard, metal madness and metal overlord my first try. =) I never played Sonic Adventure 1, but I watched my older cousin wipe out so many times on Chaos. This vid brings back memories. =)
In terms of game mechanics yes it’s weird. But considering the game’s context it makes sense, as Super Sonic causes massive damage to Perfect Chaos while Base Sonic takes more hits to defeat Egg viper

You make this look so easy! I've just been playing sonic adventure dx on my pc, and I can't beat this boss! I always seem to miss all the rings, even though I fly right through them. And I never seem to dodge his massive laser... :/
