I am a NIT. When I see everyone folding against me I LOVE to heavy bet a hand to the river, don't care if I lose, the point is to show the table and keep them guessing.

I've been a nit all my life (90% Nit, 10% Tag) and it's worked just fine for me. It's better to consistently take smaller parts than to just chase and chase. I can also get away with a good bluff here and there. Sure, I lose to a bad beat now and then but that's poker.

depending on your HUD, you might be able to set up villain's stats vs hero (you). that will show exactly how he plays when you are involved. if you can't do that, you can do some off the table analysis in your database. it should be fairly easy to look at particular villain's stats vs you compared to his stats in general.

I watched a training video; I think it was a Jack Wilcox one in a hand where he refers to you as a nit (SenorPokes). I run fairly on the nitty side as well; like 18/16/3 with 7% 3bet so fairly conservative but that's my personality.

I am a Mega NIT. Even with pocket Aces, I will never bet more than 3 BBs. Once I see the flop, I move from there.

Can you do a video or provide me a response as to what your thoughts are for a TAG player confronting an opponent on to them and/or using this video's tips against them? What would be your thoughts on countering this counter as the thing being countered?

How the hell I didn't see this vid before!? OMG I am such nit :( I thought I was a bit nitty but now I know I play way too nitty and lose a ton of value on regs that adjust to me... so much more to learn.... Here is a question: how do I increase value on players who adjust to me if I multi table? I find it hard to spot the players who exploit me, so it is harder to counter attack and keep track on the situation. Should I adjust my "base" game, or just "weak spots" and if so, in what direction?

i have a question. how you deal with bad players in big number? in bigger tournaments of small price. because I can play against then well, but once it gets to the middle of the tournament, they go all in with any shit, get lucky, and get stacks. you can raise them with AA, 3 or 4 of them will call and often win. how to deal with the situation, when 90% of the time when the cards are distributed, 1 or 2 of them go all in? since you cant count on luck

Evan, C-betting 75% pot on the flop into a 3B (preflop) pot sounds kind of big.

One last thing Gripsed mentioned in his last video was about winning the war and not the battles. For example; in my database vs a few regulars I have won 80 pots out of 190 and been up 4 buy ins on that player. Just look at the long run if guys want to wave their dick around 4bet jamming 88+/AQ+ BvB and the only requirement I need to meet is opening >35% of SBs for this action I am setting up a profitable spot in the long run here and don't give a shit about a couple of 3.5bb losses.

Any plans on updating the lessons with what you've learned since these lessons came out?

Regarding getting exploited as a nit - mark regs with colors and when in a pot with them consider how they perceive you based on the sample you have on them. If you have 1k+ on them; they have 1k+ on you and your stats won't have too much deviation. Keep in mind if a reg is constantly calling/3betting your opens and looking to get in spots with you they are either trying to figure out how to exploit you, ALREADY exploiting you OR have an ego problem/are bad.

3bet% is important as well today I've opened with KK 100bb 6handed, got called by the button and squeezed by a neat(12/12/6/14%3bet) from the sb, then check razed on the flop(4TQ) I've found it rather unbelievable considering the stack sizes and his 3bet range then he barreled the rest on the turn(after picking a flush draw) turns out he had 23s rather unexpected from a neat, although it was zoom, so I can't know if he was on tilt or something

How can I know from a hud that a player is abusing my nitty nature? The way I see it a hud will tell me how a player plays overall, but I need to notice how they play specific players... And I am disciplined enough to know if I start getting bored and playing garbage/making mistakes to shut down the session, so it is something...

Here is a recent example of how to stack a bad nit: I open AQ suited from the cutoff, get 3-bet by a nit in BB. I reluctantly call, since after all it is a resteal spot, so his range should be at least a BIT wider, and I have position. Still I dont love my hand at all, and the plan is to proceed with uttermost caution, if I flop a pair. Luckily though I flop a flushdraw with 2 overs on a low connected board. He fire out a big C-bet, 80% pot or so. I see no point in raising the nit, because he is almost 100% certain to have an overpair, when he C-bet this size, and he is not going to fold it. So I just call knowing pretty much exactly, what he have. Turn is another low card and complete the flush. Fantastic card for me. He fire a turn C-bet and again, I just call. Sure its not great, if the board 4-flushes or 4-straights on the river, because it might kill action. But if I jam on him, he probably find a fold with his overpair. So I just call and sure enough, he hang himself on the river for the rest of his stack and show QQ. Apparently he did not like the way, I played, because he left the table after the hand. So to him this was probably very unfair. But you know what? You are not entitled to dubble up, every time you are dealt QQ-AA preflop. And especially not if those are the only hands, you ever really get active with.

Actually I built my "roll" on sng's... from 100$ to 1400, and then blew half of it on 1.5$ with rebuys to play the sunday million. Sng's are great but the damn variance are killing me... Also sng's are way harder than they used to be... And then I sometimes play at work, and I cant tell my boss "I am in the bubble so wait 15 min..." because of the nature of my work... So I need to get a grip on cash games... Thanks tho!

How do you play against a whole table of nits?

I play tight most of the time. But I can get crazy and play really loose. When I think it's a good idea. Dont know what I am.

I have the problem of not knowing how to know when a player is bluffing. I have called assuming bluff too many times and it has turned me into a bit of a Nit. If you are interested in explaining all the questions one should ask when thinking about whether someone is bluffing, I would be interested in hearing your point of view. Thanks

A good nit however will abuse his image to the fullest.

I know stopping multi tabling is an option but If I don't do it I get bored and I start playing hands I know I am not supposed to... I know we are supposed to be as profitable as we can but I can't enjoy a game when nothing new or interesting is happening 80% of the time... so I 3table and nothing interesting is happening 40% of the time which is better but It is hard to remember things that are not outstanding, things like how many times did this specific dude floted against me specifically...

use a tracking program with a hud. 3tables isnt that hard to concentrate on, especially with a hud. be more disciplined, and fold the garbage

if you want to not get exploited by playing too many tables and not knowing who/ where your being exploited... play less tables and concentrate more

pretty easy.... set stats to just that session!! and then see how is acting in what position, i.e if you are BTN and he is in the blinds, and is 3betting you a ton because he thinks your a nit who is going to fold to 3bets.... By asking these questions... im guessing your at microstakes, and people just arent that high a level of thinker. most are thinking what they have, not many think what you have, and those that do,dnt think, what you think they have Just take notes, and TAG player types

You could try sit n gos. A nitty approach is optimal, you fold till the blinds get high then just play shove or fold poker.
