It replace the intake manifold and sits between the heads on the top side feeding the intake side of the heads don't have to pull heads new intake gaskets come with the supercharger
So you have to upgrade the transmission, differential, and the engine before you install a SC, and what the best size of SC is safe to the stock engine?
Putting in a Maggie in my 6m Plum Crazy Challenger. Sticking to the 6lb. pulley. Any advice besides don’t wreck it? I’m not a burn out, show off. I just like power and appreciated a good driver.
Sounds Awesome you'll love it always stick with good premium gas don't get greedy with boost get a good tune and a wide band Air/Fuel gauge to be on the safe side that the car is not running lean on boost other than that your Good to Go!
ThezKiKi thanks for the sub! Check out some of my older videos the supercharger has been on for a while we did a fuel pump and about to do a srt front end thanks stay tuned!👍😎
There is a 1/8 plug on the driver side of the supercharger that you can use for a boost gauge you'll need a elbow fitting and hose to run to the boost gauge. I don't have a video for it but there's one on a chevy truck it's hooked up just the same way hope to help you out bro. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hgH10IKmOck.html
Hey man I'm sorry to bother you again but I accidentally installed the super charger with the 6.4 instructions instead of the 5.7 instructions can you please help. Is there any major differences ? Anything will help I'm stuck trying to figure all this out now. I could send you my number or something if you'll like. Thank you for your time.
Sadly we sold it for a Srt392 it had nothing wrong with it and was still running great she wanted one in purple. A supercharged 5.7 is a load of fun I miss it
What stage supercharger is it an how much horsepower did it put you at? Planning on getting one for my charger and would like to know what brand and what I’m gonna get out of it. Thanks an your car looks nice by the way.
This is the kit i got www.shophemi.com/p-2592-whipple-29l-twin-screw-supercharger-system.aspx Power levels 493HP 496TQ 8lb boost it is a well put together package definitely makes the 5.7 run like a 6.4. As for what brand to go with mine is Whipple the Procharger is good also. Whipple makes the power and boost down in the low to mid range great for a torquey street feel the procharger makes power and boost like a turbocharger mid to high range great for racing and top end pulls really depends on your driving style and plans for the car Thanks for stopping by!
@@Ni9h7_0wl welcome man i haven't been making vids lately but i definitely try to get back to comments when i get some time Thanks again good luck with your Charger man there a blast to have and mod! 😎👍
MOPAR_LIFE 901 thanks I love the Whipple it's pretty awesome only gripes are with the MSD fuel pump booster that comes in their kit they are not that reliable had it go out on me 2 weeks after the install they sent me a new one and said there working to fix the problem. I installed a bigger fuel pump had the car retuned and removed the msd booster. Car runs perfect other than that Whipple is bad ass! 👍😎
Phoenix 98 for sure long tubes is the way to go that's what I'm going to be putting on mine In a couple months I'm thinking kooks. What kind have u been looking at?
Most supercharger kits are around 6-8k dollars they will generally boost the hp and torque up 100-150 above stock so pros are definitely more power and torque on hand. Most of the kits are generally safe for the engine as long as the boost levels and timing is kept conservative people will run into trouble when greed for more and more power shows up and becomes to much for the engine and transmission to handle. Cons are cost of kit, install and tuning if not doing it yourself and premium gasoline is required to run them. I'd say if your fine with just the extra 100hp get a kit and be done. But if that's not enough then i recommend spending the time and money to build up the engine and transmission to handle it. That's whats nice with the hellcat the motor and trans is already to handle the extra power but cons is money for them to
Phoenix 98 I just want it to be a little faster , if I want hellcat speed like you said just buy one , just want something faster than stock and tips or advice you would give? Like what parts to add on and things?
Cheapest way to go is drop in k and n or hellcat air filter, mid muffler delete and tuning with a diablo tuner from Jay Green. With more money I'd recomend long tube headers , 392 intake manifold, and a camshaft something like R/T Life's setup his car will hang with the 392 pretty good
Pretty sweet, been thinking of doing a SC on my truck, it's an '05 Hemi (before MDS and all that) but I think the truck motor is a little different. At 210k miles I probably should get a built transmission before I do any real power mods, the stock transmission is pretty tough but the previous owner rarely changed the fluid so it slips, fresh fluid and filters but I don't know how much longer it'll go as is. Anybody supercharge the 5.7 Hemi truck engine know how well they handle boost?
Kinda a roll of the dice on a motor with that many miles on the clock definitely get the transmission looked at if it slips now it's not going to last long with the added torque of the supercharger the truck engines do well with the procharger I've heard should be a badass ride man
Is a 5.7L worth supercharging at 130k miles? I have a 2013 RT+ & What things would I have to upgrade/install for my car to be able to handle all the extra power
130k is a LOT to add a blower. If I were I'd start off by spending that money on a fresh bottom end maybe a stroker. You can also just get a hellcat bottom end which is the best option for strength. Then later on add a blower. I just ordered a Magnuson 6psi kit for mine the other day at 68k miles, and even then im a little weary even tho my whole top end and cam is basically brand new.
Sorry man I'm not familiar with the AWD setup so i can't really say but most of the system bolts in place on top of the motor ie. Intake manifold area , heat exchanger pump under driver's side headlight and the cooler in front of the radiator as long as those are the same as the RWD system it could work I would give these guys a call to check for sure www.shophemi.com/p-2592-whipple-29l-twin-screw-supercharger-system.aspx. Arrington Performance
Probably depends on year's and engines they do make whipple supercharger kit for the Ram 1500 with the 5.7 for the newer year's 19-up procharger makes one I believe
BobK don't really know either mine not that bad I've have heard some sound louder whipple says the sound is coming from the way the rotars are meshing the sound go's away above idle
Definitely my favorite. I opted to get the 2014 RT in red. People try to tell me the ones made before 2015 are ugly 😂 I laugh in their face. The ‘14 looks so good, it looks mean. And she’s a beast
Not really it didn't change much maybe 1-2mpg under normal driving it does seem like it using more fuel but I think it because i don't let it get under 1/4 tank the supercharger instructions say to not let the tank get that low for fuel starvation under boost can hurt the motor
johnnypro yep your right i was having problems with there msd boost a pump after talking with some more guys that had the same problem going with a bigger fuel pump is the best and reliable way to go thanks bro!👍😎
Tampabay Fishing Adventures yep going with the bigger fuel pump and custom tune really helped it out the stock fuel pump and the tune that Whipple came with the car was running lean on the top end luckily the knock sensors caught it.
Tampabay Fishing Adventures cool man I'll check it out that fishing looks fun to man I'm around the Texas coast but our water don't look like that! LOL
@@TheAssassinscreed91 that's what's nice about most supercharger kits they have almost everything you need you will need different spark plugs 1-2 heat ranges colder than normal, bigger fuel injectors and a new tune for the engine if you stay on the lower side of boost levels you don't have to forge the motor. But if you plan to make a lot of boost and power it is better to build the engine to handle it that sounds like a beast of a car your planning
@@TheAssassinscreed91 a cold air intake and better flowing exhaust is really all you need with it Maybe add better brakes and tires for added safety and traction add should be all good 😎👍
@@EZeasyET yep it mostly because the Hemi pistons are high compression and don't take boost well but the 5.7 can handle more boost than the 6.4 Hemi do to being they are less compression. Ignition timing has alot to do with it also people try to tune Hemi's like chevy LS motor's and throw more timing in to make power but forget that they have 2 spark plugs per cylinder and need less timing than LS motor's
For sure! I hade 45k on my 5.7 and threw a rod through the block. Had nothing but a predator tune, Cai, and resonators removed and performance mufflers. Just got done putting a jasper motor in it with all upgraded internals
I do have a video of driving it but sadly i don't have that car anymore Thanks for checking it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GmyF4t05bcI.html
@@bluephoenix383 I clicked through the video as a single picture show instead of a video and loved it. very good shots of the install. I learned a good bit. TY
Any idea where to find a decent or reccome a supercharger for a Chrysler 300c I'm assuming the same ones as other 5.7 hemis but any tips or pointers could help
