You're missing the point. They're still liars. They get to lie to their kids for fourteen years and still say they're good people. I call that convenient. Jon lied to protect his girlfriend. Her life would have most likely been completely ruined if the truth ever came out, something that a lot of people don't seem to realize.

I have to say I'm mostly with Jonathan here. Clarke says that he wants to understand but as soon as Jonathan starts to open up he jumps on him without hearing him out.
He definitely could’ve handled that better and let Jon speak. But the fact that Jon tried to compare Clark keeping his secret from the boys until he realized one of them had powers to Jon lying for Candice, is comical. That’s like comparing a nuclear bomb to a lighter. I hope Jon is able to talk to his Bizarro self by the season finale and see that the grass ain’t always greener on the other side.
I'm still sick of the Kent's policy "If you committed a felony, then there's no excuse". Not everyone has a family they can count on, and sometimes istitutions can't or simply don't help you. It's true that selling drugs is wrong, but Lois & Clark seems to not want even listen why. There are people that simply cannot find anything better. If it's true that Candance sold drugs to take care of her dad, let's not pretend that the alternative to become a drug dealer could have been seeing her father die because they didn't have enough money. Not even this is right. All this to say that for sure that is not enough to justify drug dealing, but there are mitigating circumstances that they seem unable to acknowledge.

Trev Turp jonathan's character does take a lot of crap and gets crapped on a lot. it's kinda messed up though. and he was punished for it though wasn't he his parents grounded him for the drugs he can't go anywhere without their permission he got kicked off the football team and was expelled from school so look he paid for it so it's not like he got off scott free here he suffered a lot and he lost everything including clark and lois trust and his family's respect. really he probably over paid for this and the punishment might have been too severe if we're being honest here. not only was he kicked off the football team and he lost his football career and will never play professionally because of this but also his arrest was put in the computer and will go on jonathan's "permanent record" and when he grows up he'll probably have a hard time finding a job because of this. so believe me he learned his lesson and the kid has "suffered" enough. besides clark lied to both of his son's jordan and jonathan for fourteen years so i don't think a man who lied to his son's for fourteen years has the right to call anybody out for lying or judge anyone for anything. it's hypocritical and makes clark a hypocrite. his lecture here would be more effective if he hadn't lied to both his kids for almost a decade and a half i agree with jonathan jonathan's right.

I always found both Clark and Lois to be hypocritical jackasses especially when it comes to always seeing black and white but blinding themselves to the gray of situations. When they say that children are smarter and have more character than their parents, Johnathan is proving that by no long allowing himself to be the pushover he was before and is pushing back as well as throwing his parent's hypocritical bull back in their faces. In the end, secrets breed mistrust and if Clark's kids knew who he was from the beginning, maybe things wouldn't be coming apart at the seams, both his sons would of been better prepared, trust wouldn't of been crappy, and maybe things would of turned out better than they are. Clark and Lois have only themselves to blame for the present conditions of their lives and their fractured family. If one cannot truly balance the scales of their lives, then they will endure nothing but chaos and self destructive results.
@@johnathanferguson5796 Well, that is a valid question especially since with a big secret involving a superhero, no one can ever fully prepare themselves especially if they're that hero's family and/or descendants. It's a parent's responsibility, even super powered ones, to prepare their kids in the proper manner so they can handle any kind of secret being revealed to them. I personally am not sure how exactly the Kent brothers should of been prepared to being told the truth of being the sons of Superman. But I think Clark and Lois should of started slowly and surely, bit by bit preparing the boys by having Clark spend time with them as Superman without any eyes on them while doing so. They also could of explained the position they were in as the sons of Superman from an early age so they wouldn't be caught off guard when the secret was told. And maybe they should of taught the boys how to defend themselves so they would know what to do when they were in a dangerous situation. Overall, Clark's and Lois's "keep them in the dark until otherwise" parenting style just bred mistrust in the Kent household, created friction and rifts, and overall created situations that could of been handled better or even avoided. But that's just my unique perspective of this scenario. To each their own.
@@reidhirsh3338 you're absolutely right. i remember a scene from the first episode of season one clark and lois were in the daily planet lois wanted clark to tell the boys his secret but he said no telling them would only put them in danger then lois said they'd be in more danger not knowing. clark told them his secret at the end of the first episode but the only reason he told them is because eventually he realized she was right. the boys were in more danger not knowing. it is messed up not only did he lie to jordan and jonathan for fourteen years almost a decade and a half but what's also messed up is the fact that if the boys weren't in more danger not knowing clark would have continued to lie to them their whole lives and never told them the secret. he only came clean because superman has enemy's and because of the "danger."!!!!

I think Jon’s heat vision will come becoz when he was getting the visions his head hurt obviously but you can clearly see the red heat thing on his forehead when freaking out however when Anderson got these vision things when being near his bizarre self, you cannot see anything in his forehead.
I may be in the minority but I am actually on Jonathan’s side. Clark and Lois have a black and white mindset regarding the drugs and Candice situation. Like he said they really aren’t listening to him. What she and Jonathan did was definitely wrong, but I can understand being so desperate, when your father is sick and wanting to help him with his treatment. She doesn’t deserve to be stamped as a bad person.
Adithya Thevapalan you're not in the minority you're absolutely right and I agree with everything you said. i would also like to say it's annoying how self righteous and morally superior clark and lois are and how they always have the moral high ground in arguments i never liked people who are self righteous it's really annoying. the only bad characters are clark lois and natalie but other characters and everyone else is fine. natalie being added to the show was a mistake and shouldn't have happened and she doesn't understand the concept of parrallel universes or just doesn't care. but superman & lois is very good show though it's awesome and epic.

There's usually not this kind of writing in a CW show where they talk about repercussions of a secret like this. I think this was earned. I hope Season 3 isn't a bit of a quality dip, but so far, from what I'm seeing, this is still treating things about how Superman is seen. This isn't CW this time, I feel. This is Superman. He is usually morally upstanding, but they aren't really writing him that way. They are writing him as though he usually is, and he has been doing this job with some of those views, but the way he's doing things are starting to hit him that he needs to change.

But now you have a wife and a kid, so naturally, your priorities change. You still zip around the world to help, but you always put family first. If you think that keeping your secret from your son to protect him is the right choice, the question you should be asking is how long are you planning to hide it before he finds out himself? Bear in mind, their mentality is very emotional than an adult's rational one. Not to mention, you're also somewhat betraying their trust by keeping it from him. Lastly, you say that you're hiding your secret to protect him, but you've already painted a bullseye on his back the moment he's born. Honestly, seeing how the others continued to treat him even after the arc. Jon should take the deal. Not in a "villain" way (necessarily. Honestly, it's like the writers *want* Jon to have a Cassandra from Tangled moment) but at this point this type of group therapy is what they both need. I think it's time for Jon to get tired of being alone, of putting everyone else over him. He really deserves to be selfish. It's not a sane choice, whatsoever, but it would probably do both of them good. (If J-El is willing to play nice, that is. But I think redemption would look good on him)

Clark seems to be a very dominant and controlling father towards Jon {Jordan however gets away with anything and is super disrespectful all the time but gets no scolding like Jon}. She could also get made at him and post and social media that he's half alien with powers.
