Other good Superman books are these: "Man of Steel" a miniseries by John Byrne. This was the first time they rebooted his origin story after Crisis on Infinite Earths. "Superman For All Seasons" another take on his origin, and one of the main sources of inspiration that James Gunn cited for this movie. "Action Comics #775", an issue that was written in response to the popularity of "The Authority", who we already know will be in this universe. "Action Comics 866-870" part of Geoff Johns' run on the title, and in this one he reintroduces Brainiac, bringing him back to his Silver Age roots. "Superman Annual #11" titled "For the Man Who Has Everything", it's a great story by Alan Moore. Also, it was later adapted into an episode of Justice League Unlimited.

Nah, they won't adapt Kingdom Come, nobody wants Clark with Wonder Woman or Lois dead

They can't have Superman and Lois die in the DCU, he's too vital to the overall narrative

i always had faith in him in superhero movies he’s a comic book nerd, plus he’s basing this superman’s personality on All Star, which personally is my favorite

I like how he also mentioned about some people saying how the kingdom come symbol is for an older and powerful superman when ben affleck literally has his entire suit and symbol taken from the dark knight returns

Superman legacy would be a better fit doomsday as antagonist.
