The fact that they really nailed the family element and grounded it makes this show so amazing.....where you aren't rushing to see Superman do anything....super. I'm beyond impressed with the writing so far. Even though Smallville had moments that just pissed me off you can't deny the chemistry they show had with it's cast, and that's something CW shows sometimes lack.

Yeah. With Jordan getting the powers (at least for now, I think.) I just hope that Jon doesn’t end up getting pushed to the side, and ends up becoming the Laurel Lance or Jimmy Olsen of this show. Their shows practically left those characters behind.

The wait is actually kind of important and is the reason so many shows of yesteryear were so great. The time between episodes gives us time to process everything, to think on it, to speculate and really absorb the experiences we enjoyed the most. When you binge watch it's just a blur. It's like the space between notes in music; without the rests between beats, it's all just noise.

This episode does a nice job of defying expectations. When Clark says he can’t always be there for his kids, I expected two things. One, the kids would find themselves in trouble and have Clark there to save them. And two, the kids would be upset that their dad, who’s always been absent, wasn’t there when they needed him the most. But the episode pleasantly avoids the predictable route. Clark shows up when he’s not needed and the kids complain that things were better when he stayed away.

This show is just good classic superman, classic saves, just a classic feel. no new crazy off the wall take on the characters or setting but still different enough to be invested in the story. I'm interested in the future of this family as much as I am in seeing superman do his thing. I love the dialogue as much as the action. When Sam called him to the DOD that was awesome, the suspense, the anticipation, the score lol. I havent been invested like this in anything superman since smallville.

I haven't been up to date. How long after Crisis does this take place? During Crisis, Lois and Clark had 1 infant son. At the end of Crisis, there was a brief mention that they had more as a result of Crisis, and it looked like only Clark noticed the difference. Matter of fact, who else in their family knows that the two of them suddenly got an extra son out of nowhere?

This cast is so good. People made fun of smallville for years but it was on for a decade because the cast was really good. That's how I feel about this show. It'll have huge bumps lots of forced Melo drama and it'll butcher comic storylines. But when it gets things right it really shines. I hope we have ten years of this!

I've heard theories that both the twins need to be with each other to use their powers. I personally don't like the idea, but if true, I can see this being CW's take of the Wonder Twins. And yes, I am aware that in the comics, the Wonder Twins are two different people who are not related to Superman. In defence to that, Adrian Chase and Prometheus were two different people in the comics, and they decided to make Adrian him instead of Vigilante, so ha!

The whole responsibility speech has me rolling my eyes because, theyve YET to talk about how to deal with bullies. They should know by now that Jordan's being targeted by the jocks and there is not such thing as "Infinite patiience". I do NOT want to see another case where the only interference from the adults is gonna be some lecture about "controlling their reactions"when Jordan snaps or try to fight back.

I'm starting to suspect that Jon and Jordan's superpowers are somewhat a portions only of Clark's powers because of their half human dna which for me makes more sense than the comics version of Jon which is said to be more powerful than Clark.
