@@arfhat89 I agree. I mean maybe brother means in general and not by blood. Especially when he called Clark Kal-El he never sees himself only as Kal-El of Krypton but as Clark Joseph Kent every version of Superman he hates being called Kal-El much like Goku hates being called Kakarot.

Yes it’s a true superhero show. Sometimes the other CW shows get too much into the soap opera drama, relationships etc. Superman and Lois do relationships too, but they’re done well and pertain to the plot.

I'm fairly certain that Edge(or whatever his Kryptonian name is) is using the word "brother" in the sense of Clark being his countryman, or an assumed sense of solidarity ie "brother cops/soldiers/etc". so no, he's not Kal's *actual* brother. if Edge was a member of the House of El, he'd be wearing the same crest as Kal, Kara, etc.

@@teammfmjamie How could this not be tied to Arrowverse? They're not only the same actors from the overarching franchise, but reference the Crisis event from the Arrowverse. The only difference is the tone of this show. Much closer to Arrow, or Black Lightning, then Flash or Supergirl.

I HATE how Iris has become the MAIN character on a show about the Flash. It started maybe three seasons ago, but I could see it coming. In the comics, Iris had her separate own career. The Flash is one of the most powerful DC characters. He is does NOT need a Woke Team Flash.

Theory: At 0:06 Edge says “I made people afraid. I’ll do it again” It shows someone with laser eyes. I think that’s the evil Superman from John Henry Irons’ earth. They never showed what happened to the Evil Superman when he was fighting The Stranger. What if after crisis he landed on earth prime and Edge captured him and held him captive. His hair is longer.

I don't understand why so many people in this comment section are always asking for Jon to get powers. It's so much more interesting to see him have to grapple with seeing his brother have crazy abilities while he stays human, and it provides the "Lois" viewpoint to the kids' storyline, which feels needed. It also shows that Clark's way isn't the only way to bring the "super" to their family. Maybe someday he'll develop powers, maybe he won't. He walked through a cloud of kryptonite tonight and was fine though, so he definitely doesn't have them right now. Idk, maybe I'm just complaining but not every character has to be OP to be interesting.

Better than Any Arrowverse show and now it's the new beginning of New Era. It will set precedence for other CW shows because Now audience is well aware of Other streaming Services also. The is H'El. Who was introduced as a Kryptonian clone who was adopted by Jor-El. Could be something like that character. That or it is Eradicator.

@King BullyRock idk I feel like they wouldn’t use zod bc he’s overused and h’el was tasked with the job to preserve the kryptonian existence which would explain the kryptonians and from the last clip he’s much stronger and faster than Superman on a level that zod isn’t and the symbol is close to the one he wears in the comics

I know nothing about Superman comics, I am learning as I go. I watch a little bit of Smallville and watch Young Justice. 1) it’s actually his brother 2) Crisis change, crisis give him a brother? 3) Half Brother? I have a half sister, which I call her sister 4) it’s a Kryptonian thing? 5) Evil Superman from Steel’s Earth Bonus weird theory Lex’s clone Superman, and Lex program the clone to think he is actually Superman’s brother.

My theory It's Kal-El's twin brother maybe from the other Earth. One twin dies at birth on the related Earths His name will be H'el instead of Kal-El and he might be the evil superman possessing Edge's body. He also could be a half brother too from the other Earth that survived Crisis.

I saw MOS opening day, hated it and almost walked out! I also despise Endgame and almost walked out. I was expecting to hate this but it's so good! CW is good with first seasons though we'll see what happens in the second season.

This show (and Daredevil's) is the right step towards a serious superhero show that was needed for long time. Others are almost looking like Teletubbies. I believe next step should be working on realism and real life effects of superpowers. For example, the super hearing is all done wrong. It doesn't matter if Clark have super hearing or not, sound simply can not travel that far without being distorted and even completely flattened. And, in the episode 1x09 he super-speeded in the middle of a restaurant. Humans may see slow but they are not dumb, they can "see" when their very own farmer boy Clark dissappears in front of their eyes.

Seeing as how kids get half DNA from each parent. Jonathan would be half Krytonian. So Shouldn’t the kryptonite poisoning have affected him as well. Even if he doesn’t have developing powers yet it should still be in his DNA.

My headcanon is that the kryptonite weakness is tied to the ability of kryptonian cells to absorb radiation. Sunlight strengthens them, kryptonite radiation weakens them. So as long as his cells don't do the absorbtion thing, the kryptonite doesn't have much of an effect.
