I liked that they were trying to be rather inclusive. That guard knows Superman is based in the US but spoke Spanish to him anyways, and I'm sure he wasn't surprised when Superman responded in kind.

This show perfectly depicts how he responds to emergencies. He generally steers clear of cities that have protectors such as National City, Central City and Gotham, while focusing his efforts on areas without a superheroic presence of their own.

@@princevegeta9763 that's why I really like how they showed Flash fighting in Justice Society: WW2. He mostly just pushed or moved people, kind of like Quicksilver in DoFP. The closest Flash gets to a punch is throwing it but stopping a few centimeters short of the guy's face. The force of the air rushing from his punch is enough to really hit his face hard and knock the guy off his feet.

I’m not entirely sure about kryptonian babies but humans don’t really have the level of cognitive function to recognise the advanced civilisation. Like when the Kent’s have to show him his heritage and the he furthered his knowledge in the FoS. But I do see both your points and they’re very well thought out.

@Nate The Great Hoechlin is doing great, he really the nuances of each side to Clark. He's got the confident, friendly Superman, the angry/disappointed Superman when the humans do something foolish, he's got the real Clark that Lois and his family sees, the confident kind father and then he also had the adorkable public persona of Clark Kent that the people of Smallville and Metropolis know him as. I love him!

In these serialized shows there is often a tendency to wipe the slate clean as much as possible, leaving *just* enough to set up the next episode with minimal restrictions on the plot of that episode (by keeping the stakes vague). Flash does this all the time with Barry's injuries, using his healing factor to explain why he is in tip top shape the next episode despite having being hit by frost attacks and God knows what else over the course of the episode. The older episodes didn't do this, the newer ones specifically have this problem.

Love that this simple scene gives us a lot of context info like; Superman is a hero for the whole world not just Metropolis, He is a veteran Superman so he has done this rodeo for a long time for him to be actually be able to speak the language of where he is located, and finally the very obvious non lethal way he disabled the gun men because these are just human bad guys.

It does make sense that Superman would learn enough of at least the major languages to be able to have basic discussions like he has here with the officer. Being able to understand and be understood by Superman would make a lot of people around the world feel even safer and it would make his "job" as Superman much easier.

I agree makes total sense. Clark being able to speak all of earth's languages should be nothing for his super brain. He has been shown to be able to do advanced surgery after only spending a few mins reading medical books. Something humans need years to learn.

Believe it or not, by the 1980s Superman was almost god-like in the comics (different writers kept adding to his powers over the decades). He had become so powerful that DC decided to scale him back through an event called Crisis on Infinite Earths. Of course when you can stop huge objects, taking on a group of well-armed bank robbers is child's play to him.

It's obvious that this take is highly inspired by Zack's version of superman and Wonderwoman: The entrance, the way he moves and sometimes the seriousness on his face. So one can dislike Zack's approach, but we have to give credit where credit is due.

@@arielondoua I know Zack Snyder is a great visual director but people really need to stop acting like he invented Superman action sequences, it only looks like he did because he was simply the first one given the opportunity and the budget to adapt a proper Superman fight using modern VFX. If you watch Superman the animated series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited series you will find most of this stuff has already been done countless times. Heck a lot of the action pieces in Man of Steel came from the Captain Marvel vs Superman animated fight alone. This Superman also completely carries himself completely different to Zack's, there is a humility to his character that was completely absent from the Zack Snyder's version who was always portrayed as a superior being.

According to what I know and remember, he's able to block out and focus on certain sounds by controlling his super hearing. This is why he hasn't gone insane or straight went out to live in space lol

Remember, Jor-El designed the FOS with a total accumulation of all knowledge spanning the twenty-eight known galaxies is embedded in the Fortress including Earth, so I'm sure Clark knows a lot, especially with his computer-like brainpower.

buenoooo....no olvidemos que cuando vuela y se ve que llega a la playa, el subtitulo dice "Mazatlan"....o sea Sinaloa...o sea la cuna del Cartel del Chapo...y estos tipos obviamente son narcos asaltando un banco en Mazatlan. Muy, muy, muy orgullosos de que se nos reconozca por eso no debemos estar eh. Tyler Hoechlyn debe tener alguna conección con Mexico...cuando salia en Teen Wolf...una vez fue el primo "Miguel" de Stiles...y su version joven tuvo que hablar español tambien. Aqui solo dijo dos lineas: "usted se encarga?"...y "Estaré bien"....la segunda bien pronunciada y la primera me costo entenderle....pero bien por Tyler. Recuerdo que cuando lo casteraon para Superman en la serie de "supergirl", muchos mencionaron que parecia un Superman Mexicano...por mi, bienvenido a Mexico Tyler.

This is how Wonder Woman 84 should have handled that robbery scene in the beginning except for the collapsing. It took Diana 5 minutes to defeat those out of shape robbers when she is literally the strongest woman in the world. It's another one of my favorite things about this show, Superman does some actual super acts and handles things on a global scale. Another thing is Supes relationship with Sam. I TOTALLY get Sam's insistence in making sure Superman stays on the level and I think they play it quite well in the aftermath of this robbery.

I do have to admit. Even though hes Superman and its a Superman show... Shooting a dude in the chest point blank with an AK 47 is Dark as fuck. I mean given all these other CW shows and Arrow being the most "Violent" of them to start. They NEVER did this shit... lol I think Black Lightning is the only show to even be anywhere MORE violent than Arrow.
