The Man of Steel and Metropolis' famous journalist, Lois Lane, come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - parenthood. The 2-hour premiere event of Superman & Lois airs Tuesday, February 23 on The CW Network.
Since it looks so movie like i wonder if WB and CW are under same label kinda to make shows look so movie like as things change and able to make shows look like movies kinda since cant go movies right now cause virus and times are changing.
@huntercollier It's still produced by WBTV same as other shows in arrowverse. The quality is better because it's Superman and they don't wanna mess this up.
dont be fool because of a well edited trailer. cw have a long history of lazy and cliche writing. considering they love to recycle scripts from their other shows. expect superman talking about his feelings, pep talk about his self steem, family issues and the awkward social commentary here and there.
@@FZJanimated But does Superman get a team of quirky tech geniuses in a secret lair, who talk to him over a hidden earpiece while he does all the crime fighting?
@@lanceturley7745 This superman is already established in this universe, he's been around for a very long time and seems to have had no team whatsoever so I highly doubt they'd change that now.
@@TechTino I know, but he was talking about recycled scripts, and I'm just joking that it is a trope they've used in every other Arrowverse show, with the possible exception of Legends of Tomorrow.
I’m really amazed how far it’s come with Superman in the arrowverse. When Supergirl first premiered, whenever they show him, it would either a stuntman with his face hidden or an unseen CGI figure, I figured it was because the network people thought he was too big for TV since Henry Cavill had already been playing him on film. But when they announced that they would cast an actor for him in the next season, that was the most mind blowing news. Now here we are three years later
@@yourdcguide9723 I mean she’s literally running around in a suit based off of his likeness and fights crime because she was inspired by him. Didn’t watch the first season with Ruby but I’m sure that he was missing and that was a big plot line of the show.
@@trev.7598 same here. I’m 17 now and used to absolutely get so hyped every week for the new flash and arrow episodes. Tbf the flash season 6 wasn’t as bad as 4 and 5 but it’s still not amazing. I’m going to give it a chance when it returns but I’m really not sure if I’ll watch it all
This looks amazing, especially with the cinematography. It also looks like in the recreated history for the characters Clark and Lois began their relationship and got married way earlier than before. Hence how they could have teenaged kids in the present.
You just know the trailer is set up to look serious and everything but is gonna end up with he same dry humour as The Flash and will focus on the teenage characters more than Superman
@@MarcusYap was it really?? That actually gives me hope. Cw always makes it to bubbly and corny. One of the many things I hated in supergirl was she was incredibly weak, and the style of cinematic wasn't doing it for me.
Right he gives me a more Batman face tbh what's funny is he was actually the next considered choice but Ben affleck was selfish and wanted in but now look he flaked 🤦♂️
Imagine if the other Arrowverse shows had this budget, cinematography, and only 10 episodes. I’d always choose 10 high quality episodes over 23 cheap ones. No filler crap
I heard about this but hadn't seen the trailer, I didn't like the sound of it. The trailer has won me over but I'm interested to see how this goes. It looks so different from the rest of the Arrowverse.
Something I really hope this show understands is, the question is not "is Superman powerful enough for the problem." He is. Unless that problem is Doomsday, Darkseid, Brainiac, Bizarro, or Zod, then yes, he is powerful enough. The challenge he has to overcome cannot be a matter of strength, it has to be something else.
@@taneishabell319 Luthor has tried a billion ways to use it, it never works. In Kingdom Come, an older Superman is so immunized against it, Luthor doesn't even bother trying it anymore. Heck, not too long ago Superman flew through the remains of Krypton, all kryptonite, then through Rao, the system's _red sun,_ and survived.
This show is about family, and not an origin story. Clark has already two grown teenagers (Jonathan and Jordan), but he has to deal with them since he new actually remember raising them, because before Crisis event he was still dating Lois but they never had kids, while after Crisis reset the universe, he got back and found out he was a father. So, to give it a more family theme, this is why they've chosen this title
I like the other side of what Superman can be. We know him as the hero, the bullet proof, the faster than sound. But now we see him as a father. Pretty great idea.
@@wrestlinganime4life288 he wasnt that bad. Plus he literally killed Zod in the movie. And even if he is a goodie two shoes, thats what he always represented. So it was definitely a darker take
@Tru Lord Kasinova 95 I would like you to tell me where it says that superman needs to be a bodybuilder in fact, look at Chris Reeves when he was playing Superman, he was much skinnier.
I for one, am glad they finally do a modern Superman tv show. I am so sick of getting 8 different Batman projects shoved at me. Superman gets no respect.
The comic books years ago explained the glasses. Superman didn't realize it but he was unconsciously using super hypnotism and the glasses since they were made from his ship amplified it. So people actually saw Clark as more frail and shorter than Superman.
I heard the witcher team and people at hbo helped with the fx since they shot the episodes first and then did the post production afterwards whereas, cw would shoot 1-2 eps and do post production on them immediately
@@dudewotever11 Well the fx team does not work for hbo. They are there own company that have done vfx for stranger things 4, Mandalorian, Mcu, and worked on this special.
@@andergarcia4953 ik hbos giving them money to produce the show but the fx team is entirely different is it really only going to be for this special that doesnt sound right
@@dudewotever11 Well I'm assuming the show will be 13 episodes and do you really expect the same quality we saw in that trailer to be in all 13 episodes.
