Sam trying to kill Bobby was terrible but look at it from his perspective, he is being forced to take something that he doesn't want, that will probably kill him. He is literally tied down having something forced inside him, I can see why he would attack the people responsible for that.
Bobby didn't do anything wrong though, Bobby just gave him a place to stay. He tried to kill Bobby as part of a blood ritual to keep his soul out, it wasn't retaliation for being tied up.
Dean is the one doing it to him! No wonder Sam doesn't turn to him when starts to get the visions and keeps it to himself. Part of him probably remembers.
@Ellie B. TBF that IS a very Dean thing to do. I find it so clever how, within the narrative, Dean has his own narrative of what is happening; but you can watch the events unfold, and decide whether to believe it or not. He often convinces Sam that his POV is the truth which is really funny and tragic too.
@Ellie B. don't you think its part of the "horror" aspect of the show? for me the claustrophobic relationship between the boys was what drew me into the show. I love that I didn't blink and eyelid in the pilot when Dean broke into Sam's apartment that he shares with his gf in the middle of the night instead of knocking on the door like a normal human being because its such a tv/film trope. Slowly as the show goes on, Dean gets more and more controlling of every aspect of Sam's life but he always has a "reasonable excuse". And the fact that he's charming and funny and vulnerable at times but still a complete coercive controller. So sooo realistic.
@Ellie B. agreed and there's a lot more comedy moments/;#; as the show goes on, but don't forget that it makes sense that Sam didn't go looking for Dean, when he was in purgatory, when you understand that Sam is not necessarily comfortable or consenting with the direction his life is being dragged by Dean. Sam had a whole plotline with Amelia postulating the life he could have had. I think he's aware he will never be as good a hunter as Dean, which is why he went off to do his own thing in the first place. Dean dragged him back because he's petrified of being alone. I've not seen series 14 or 15 yet so I kind of would like to find out if that ever gets explored properly as to where that comes from? There's definitely hints about it when Mom comes back. I kind of disagree that it ignores Sam because emotionally, Sam is more fully explored than Dean. I think that's why Dean is harder to relate to? His weird obsession with family is to do with growing up without a Mother. I think people with disrupted or dysfunctional families do often get obsessed with the notion of a "perfect family".
For some reason I never realized how important and out of place this scene seems. I mean imagine it literally death walking to a guy throwing insults at everyone and touching him even though he is like a bacterium to him
It's sadly(for me)... Soulless Sam I liked more... He was more passion, more sexy, more hot, more insolence & more "bad and dirty"😏 And so... it's just cutie with puppy's eyes 😂
was great to see him turn the tables on Dean and Dean just having a meltdown about it and punching him repeatedly LOL. But for me the "rescue me" eyes are way more sexy *shrugs*.
Jack's soul was destroyed, whereas Sam's soul was in Lucifer's Cage. Death was able to just go and get it, but no one could find Jack's soul since it was gone.
