Supernatural Season 8 Review 

I always held this season in high regards and then when you started gong through it I realized I remember nothing but the Looney tunes ep, the trials, and the finale and a little off the drama and Kevin torture. And going off of what you said season 11 is all solid...i still re watch it. But the second half of 11 is slow and aimless. Given carver left because he couldn't end the show...i kinda get it but Dan the first half is so tight and suspenseful and classic supernatural and then...just filler till the end and then I've never really liked the Amara and Chuck reconciliation plot. Especially post 11 into 15 when they do absolutely nothing with Amara so keeping her alive went literally nowhere. Maybe there waa no good supernatural after kripke. Just good moments and episodes each season. Because I don't remember much of 9 or 10. I remember Deans death, and the weird fake out with Gabriel being back and the first blade and Crowley and castiel dealing with their humanity. That's all. Idk it's kinda depressing. I remember so vividly 1 through 5. I don't remember every plot adhd episode butt I remember enough to give you an at least mostly articulated recap. But past that all I remember is certain episodes or moments. Not the bigger stories

My Top 5 with some quick thoughts 1) Hunter Heroici: Hilarius case, Great exchanges, Cas as a hinter was funny, good serious moments too, rare Sam & Cas team up, Dean fighting Loony Toons style, break from the feud, only good Amelia flashback 2) Goodbye Stranger: No explanation needed 3) LARP and the real girl: A fun break after the angst of the first half, also Charlie is queen 4) The Great Escapist: Sam, Cas and Kevin get a chance to shine 5) Trial and Error: Love Domestic Dean and was touched when Sam took on the trials for Dean

The cure will make one more appearance in season 10 and after that will be forgotten.

Rewatching and seeing reviews like this really shine that light on how poor Kevin's character truly was treated and I guess that I initially glossed over it so it feels worse. I know that Master Chau was very active within the fanbase and even popped up at SDCC 2014 and asked Carver about returning so I do wonder if there is a personal story? HA! Pretty funny since he came decked out in a costume only revealing his face at the mic.

Finally someone that give S6 higher then S8 I don't get why people said that 8 is much better then 6 and 7 combined. I enjoyed S6 more, there was few down sides but overall I think is solid close to S1 but 8 is such a mediocre watch and this will stay throught out S9 and 10. S11 was that season that finally stands out and was good again.

But does anybody know Carvers original plans to end season 11? Once tried to scour around but I can't turn up anything. I was kinda hoping after season 15 he'd eventually speak on that.
