What a horrible illness Mark had. My heart breaks for him. But I dont see how his being on a vegan diet contributed to his problems. The couple had more temptation than they could handle with the situation. I think just about anyone under that circumstance would have become greedy and entitled, even family members. Afterall, he invited them into his life. What ordinary person could honestly say they wouldnt have taken advantage of his money if in that situation? Did his mom and sister help him by not posting bond? Isnt the remainder of his estate enough for them?

@@debralee1401 your gut is your 2nd brain. The microbiome of the gut being balanced is really important for mental health. A vegan diet has to many carbs and deficiencies from not having red meat. Dr. Eric Berg has done some videos on it. Just read the comments.

I hate it too that there are con artists out there waiting to take advantage of people who are mentally ill. I had a great aunt who reminded me of Bette Davis and I think she had psyche issues but she was still in the realm of functional. One day she went out and bought three pedigreed puppies. She bought an Irish Setter, a Cocker Spaniel, and a St. Bernard which was completely irrational. She wanted me to take money from her and said she didn't know what to do with it all, but I refused to take any. Other family members refused too, but then she started to give it away to taxi cab drivers and there was a young couple who befriended her, (similar to the surgeon) and she gave it away to them too. In other words, family members were too ethical to take it, but complete strangers were not.

That's a really scary story. Because many of us - if not everyone - are at risk to be exploited when in a fragile state, like when we're old. Mark was, as Dr Grande notice, unable to protect himself from such despicable people. This kind of crime, against the old and the mental impaired people, should be treated with the most rigor of the law, because their perpetrators are, IMHO, way beyond the possibility of redemption.
@paulaschroder6270
@paulaschroder6270 Год назад
Correct! I'm living proof of that! You never, ever think that you can be exploited or manipulated. You can't imagine that someone can, basically through brain- washing, using verbal abuse and mental abuse, use coercive devious mind tricks and scare tactics with veiled threats and constant daily demeaning, ugly insults to lower your already low self esteem to NO self esteem. You never think someone will use your family member against you and tear your relationship apart. Note: My family member was a vulnerable adult. We both were in a very vulnerable & fragile state of mind and had experienced a list of serious traumatic events, with life changes that we were not equipped to handle. I'm elderly (62) and disabled with health problems that will shorten my life expectancy. My question is: How do you prey upon the weak? The elderly? What type of person takes advantage of trusting, honest, compassionate, people? In the past 5 years, I witnessed, hopelessly, and unable to help, the complete and utter destruction of families. Mainly the elderly. Or a single individual that is in a situation that leaves them mentally damaged and easily manipulated. What kind of human does that? That's not a human, it's something evil with no soul. No redemption. No remorse. Empty. A waste of space. Garbage. I didn't believe in monsters. Now I do.

Bipolar destroys your life and the lives of those around you. Take your meds. My thoughts are that he probably managed his bipolar for many years (probably unmedicated) while still performing at a high level. But once you have a manic psychotic episode, things are never the same again. It's like your brain gets rewired and it gets very hard to regain control of your life or sometimes even function anywhere close to your previous level. Even when medicated. It seems like once he had his break things were never the same again. It's different than your typical cycling, although cycling still overlays it. It's sad. The drugs didn't help. LSD is the worst thing you could give a person that's actively psychotic. It wouldn't kill him, but it will break him even more than he's already broken. Never trust anyone that says "namaste".

He may have started taking too many substances over time which made him have a total psychotic break. Dr. G, you had me laughing about the Coke Zero, there’s definitely nothing wrong with throwing that out the door, that’s actually a good thing, lol! 🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note,as usual I totally agree with your analysis. They were a self serving, money hungry couple that took advantage of a man with a mental condition and was an apparent alcoholic. I’m not sure they got him on drugs, but I’m sure they assisted in intensifying his use of them. As far as his family goes, it doesn’t appear they did much for him while he was living, but sadly came looking for the money upon his death. Why didn’t they step in and try to remove the couple while Mark was living? Probably because it alleviated them being burdened with his problems and everything that went along with them. In reality this is a sad case of what sounds like a descent man, who’s mental illness was untreated and who lived a lonely and tormented life. May this man Rest In Peace now. 🙏🏻
