I will cry if they get rid of the V8, I mean just keep it and add a supercharger on it or turbos but just keep the V8 or tune it to have more power and keep it naturally aspirated either way it will be extremely sad to see LEXUS get rid of the V8.

As a 50-year car enthusiast this is the first Japanese car that appeals to me. Perhaps Japan's first real Pony Car.

I LOVE the RCF 🤤 Such a unique and epic looking car. Easily one of the best looking cars on the market. Would take this over the M4 and C63. Ton of car for the money. Perfect blend of luxury comfort and high performance. There’s just so much little details on this car. Just love it. Lexus is doing it right 💯. There’s a RC GT track model coming out and can’t wait to see how much this track model is compared to this standard car.

Great car, get one while you can. I have a feeling that this will be a highly sought after Lexus in the coming years. They are an absolute bargain in the CPO or used market. Way over priced new, but now that they are a few years old, it's a total buy!

From the track times, it seems this car is sitting on top of the list from the point where all the track focused and most hardcore versions of other cars have ended. Sitting just below those cars is some feat. Not to mention that this car is probably a better proposition in terms of quality, reliability, comfort, practicality and even rarity (like that v8). Great car!

Sadly, Lexus will eventually replace that V8 with the v6 twin turbo engine used in the new LS 500. This might the last year they use that V8.

After research I've concluded that the purple on the intake runners and orange on the brakes does indeed keep them cool... this is why Paul's helmet is also orange and purple 🤪

People gotta stop complaining about 0 to 60 times and realize they were in a REALLY high altitude for making this test and this is not a wack twin turbocharged or supercharged with dual clutch and AWD. This is REAR WHEEL DRIVE NATURALLY ASPIRATED V8 damn it. But I do think this car could be lighter just saying.

I think this is one of the best cars on the road today. I bet it will still rip the same with 150k on it as well.

I own one. Love it. Flawless mechanics. Reliable. Quiet, until you put your foot in it. AND it’s manageable. 30 MPG if I drive it like a granny on eco mode. (Less than that most the time.)

There’s a video on RU-vid of Supras Chief Engineer talking about the car. He says at the end it wasn’t about numbers but about the driving experience. It’s the same concept with this car. Not everyone is going to be caring about 0-60 times. It’s about the elegance and experience of driving this amazing car.

Well done! Great to see another Hot or Not episode! A little off topic - but my guess is that Toyota will retune this engine and use it in the next gen Tundra with an 8-speed auto. Who knows though? Have to wait and see!

I love this car! Plenty of power for me on the streets of LA. Puts my head back against the seat every time I'm flooring the gas pedal at the canyon. Looks are subjective but I've had this car since it came out and still looks fantastic to me. 2 complains I have about this car. First, the outdated infotainment system. It is older than the dinosaurs! Second, the exhaust sound. It is extremely tamed with the factory exhaust system. I replaced it with a Borla catback exhaust system. It purred but now it roars! What a huge difference. Understandably, Lexus caters to the conservative buyers so they muted the V8.

If Toyota can do this, they can build their own Supra. Just saying.

These guys are always against toyotas. Because they beat the hell shit out of fords and chevys in resale, reliability, and all the above

This is the engine Toyota should have put in the 2019 Supra. The BMW source 3.0L I6 is a disappointment.

Really wish they didn't do these acceleration tests a mile above sea level... its great for truck tests, but not so much for cars.

I own currently 2007 G35S(116K miles with all the almost all the original factory parts because of no issues) and 2017 GSF(7K miles). I did 0-60 on them. Guess what? G was 5.05 and GSF was 4.93. I also did 0-60 on 2018 Q60 3.0t(300hp). It was 5.25. However I believe my GSF will be better and better in the future. I also expect my GSF will be even better than my G (because Toyota > Nissan) and probably be below 4.5 when getting old... The conclusion : This car may not look so promising when new but it will become much better when getting old... PS: I did all 0-60 tests at the same location and similar weather/condition. I tried 0-60 two times on G, three times on GSF and 8 times on Q60 and chose the best number.

I really like these 0-60,drags and comparing cars, few channel drag pickups or compare older newer however burnouts? I dunno... Never cared for them. Theyre only entertaining when a bad guy in a movie speeds off or if youre doing it yourself finishing off old wornout rubber before change, other than that IMO just a waste of tires and car.

Yeah, V8s and manuals are being killed off left and right. Totally different class of vehicle, but it's crazy to me the new Expedition/Navigator doesn't even offer the 5.0 V8.

I love this car, but it almost seems like it's just not fast. For having almost 500 hp... it really does seem like a boat. I'm looking at a 2021, but need to test drive it first... I love everything about this car, but when I see videos it just seems so quiet for the exhaust from the factory and slow. which is mind boggling to me at the price one gets when you build and ad options.. $80k, should be FAST/quick!

A LFA v-10 in the RCF might be badged as s-RCF.

TURBO and Supercharged cars will have better times than any NA car period when at high altitudes. So all they're non analytical testing you see here may be fine for where they live but have to take with a grain of salt. Not just RCF but GT350 Mustange , GS Corvette, SS Camaro all of these NA car will lose power at High altitudes. Do these same test at see level where most of population live in this country and all these numbers change drastically.

From all the turbo charged cars on the list ( min 10:40) this one will last for much more years.
