Im a personal fan of lower to the ground and only a small entrance. We built one about 10 years ago now out by marshfield missouri at a boyscout camp during a survival camp out and as I understand they just tore it down a year or two ago. it fit three people and in the middle of november we all stayed pretty warm. We got lucky and found a forked tree to brace up our ridge pole. still great video

Digging a small trench in front of your opening on the A frame shelter and slightly around it will prevent water from running into the shelter

I live in an area that's has a lot of ticks in the leaves. Once a shelter is built like the two smaller ones will the ticks be driven out by a smokie fire? Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
