This happened to me recently when I was talking to Ryan Graves and his team about their UFO sighting, and the science behind it seemed fishy to me! Here are my thoughts on the whole situation...

Plot Twist: the US has found a way to play cat-laser with jets and anything else that relies on these devices to scan the surroundings, basically giving them the ability to flood anyone’s screen with numerous incoming “objects”, and were trying to see how well they could fool their own pilots.

Their not being hung out to dry. He's talking about the fact that humans are not great data taking devices. Credentials don't make you immune to criticism. I'm a career graphic designer, I work with typography all day everyday. That doesn't make me immune to spelling mistakes I have to pre-emptively take actions to correct for them using my tools as opposed to my eyes as its really easy to read past a misspelt word if you've being looking at a block of text all day. Pilots see something unknown in a space with limited visual references human limits come into play. Think like how the moon looks bigger when it's low to the horizon because it's next to a reference gauge ie the ground. Did they see something yes, was it breaking the laws of physics? We need more evidence. All that said the black triangles were always a cover story for the b2 and F117 stealth bombers so I think this will turn out to be a similar clandestine weapons dev program.

You asked Ryan a question that I had suggested on Twitter. So I can put that and that Joe watched on my resume 😁 I like the way you asked Joe for advice on how to handle a particular situation when you think your guest is wrong. In the case of Ryan, I think you could have confronted him with the argument that nobody's a trained observer and people make mistakes. He should accept that, and probably would. But really, and I admire your open-mindedness deeply, brother Bryan. 🙏 But Fravor and Dietrich (and two others) see an object the size of a small school bus moving above the water, erratically like a ping-pong ball. There just might have truly been something physics-defying flying there, if not physics-denying. It's quite a convincing story, especially once you know more of likewise convincing stories from credible people (being very critical before calling someone credible). If you're not convinced, OK and understandable, but that's also telling about you. And you should accept that, and you probably will. But you're an American, you should know at least a bit about the main characters of the Roswell story, from a historical perspective. There's All aircraft specialist and intelligence officer Major Jesse Marcel (pilot), his base commander (and pilot) Col. William H. Blanchard, and Walter Haut, Blanchard's public information officer. Just read their Wiki pages to find out how credible they are. Blanchard was the commanding officer of the only AF base in the world with heavy nuclear striking capabilities. I'd say very credible. And it was he who issued the press release that the RAAF had captured a flying disk. Major Jesse Marcel is the one who spent a day picking up all the debris from the crash. And Major Marcel was in charge of all security and intelligence on atomic tests in the US and the Pacific. I'd say very credible. And he's always been convinced that the material that he found was not of this Earth. He had to keep his mouth shut for more than 30 years, but he was very clear and credible about it when he retired. And Walter Haut, the information officer who assisted the base commander with the press release about the disks, is very clearly backing Major Jesse Marcel's story. Just read their Wiki pages and watch what retired all-aircraft specialist Jesse Marcel says. Historically so important, it's a moral duty for every American ;-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tu_mjUULGH0.htmlsi=58buQBkJJSzp0IQo

What convinced me this phenomenon is really advanced NHI is not just 2 or 3 cases. It's a lot over a long period of time and different countries. Forget Nimitz and Ryan and you still have very credible cases that are hard to ignore or explain. As a scientist you need the hard evidence, but I bet you dont need hard evidence when someone you trust tells you something. Detective work involves spending many hours getting to know the witnesses, even just through videos. Then you start seeing patterns with different people across time and countries. Gets very spooky.

To give you a sense of how long it took me to go from 50% to 99% sure, about 4 years nearly daily listening to witnesses. I don't fall into a rabbit hole easily, and I still catch convincing hoaxes today. But this topic is serious and takes a ton of work. No one should talk about physics publicly unless they spent years studying it, why do you think it's different from this phenomenon? It's a very hard topic to research.

Eye witness testonmy is what it is, but that is pretty creditable .I've still yet to hear an explanation for how the radar metrics were fake or accounted for in disproval though.. I'd like to hear more debate other than 'a sensor issue and a new system' .. the scope of radar and number of objects captured has reportedly been far larger than a single ping incident.. and apparently often.. through multiple reporting apparatuses.

I watched the episode so IDK if the relevant part is in this clip but I think you'll find spoofing a phased array radar like the Princeton's is a little trickier than in your WW2 example. This is further magnified by the fact that they were also simultaneously observed by the radar on the Nimitz and the E-2 Hawkeye aircraft. Also think it's kind of hilarious how you're keen to point out that the warning areas aren't like Area51 and can be flown through by any random in a Cessna, but then go on to suggest that they'd be testing super-secret US tech out there. The reason they're often seen in military areas is more likely because that's where the assets with sensors capable of detecting them often are. You should talk to Kevin Knuth on your show to have the case made by another scientist (hilarious that you reference Mick West btw, you should ask your friend Eric what he thinks of his approach to this) because you don't value pilots' expertise in using aviation sensors to differentiate airborne targets enough to believe that they can tell a balloon or a distant jet from an anomalous target using them.

Regrading all this ufo/UAP/alien stuff. The thing that I always come back to and sadly will always wonder… if you can begin to grasp the size of the universe (which for a human is barely possible to put into perspective) but if you just enter the taste of an idea of how big it is and how many stars, planets, moons and debris are scattered throughout the space… 💭 I keep coming back to WHY? Forget about if there is other life or if there’s not. Regardless if we are alone or not… what the hell is the purpose of a planet having living organisms on it, and some (us) that have a degree of understanding and innovating… and to this day not a single person can come up with any reasonable explanation beyond a simple guess of: -maybe we were created by a god (religious) figure of ultimate control -maybe we were created by another species -maybe there is no purpose as is there is truly nothing to understand and no explanation to find it exists simply for existing But all those answers are really disappointing.
@Unidentifying
@Unidentifying 8 месяцев назад
Personally I'm not so phased by this question, I'm more of the mentality "why not??" The planets, stars, and life seems an expression of the universe. Whatever the origins. Even if we never find the exact explanations, we can attempt to do so with more understanding, regarding mentality and (scientific) knowledge. Exploring space further, to find out more answers and for sure more mysteries . Purpose is a kind of a human concept, when you look at nature, things can have various purposes depending on what you choose to focus on or depending on the situation. You link purpose to understanding, but then you should realize we can understand things around us. The explanation you desire might be framed very differently, or it's something only you can find or answer for yourself. This openness is beautiful I think. Our consciousness can create purposes. Everthing is connected, everything you do has an effect, the smallest things can have a huge effect, most unforeseen and rippling through the universe because we exist and are part of the whole. You said "sadly" that you still wonder, but you can look at it differently and say fortunately we still wonder, and perhaps fortunately that might be forever the case too

There is a strong confirmation bias that only a scientist can make a discovery. One of the most chilling facts Fravor revealed was that the craft he encountered actively jammed his on-board radar - an act of war. Factor that into any conclusion you come to with regard to whether it was alien, foreign military or our own government. It's a hostile act no matter how you slice it.
@germanic4316
@germanic4316 7 месяцев назад
An act of war according to our protocols, sure. And sure, if "it" started attacking or somehow caused our aircrafts to crash - then you could consider it an act of war. But considering this might be foreign military or extraterrestrial, etc - (at the least, more technologically advanced than us) - in that scenario I wouldn't consider jamming, an act of war. The same way a beekeeper isn't declaring war against bees when he "jams" them by spraying smoke around their hive, to collect a bit of honey.
@germanic4316

Edit: Point being "it" probably has far more powerful weapons than we do, thus merely jamming our radar or weapons systems to ensure nobody gets hurt - would be nonsensical to consider as hostility.

A biased perspective on such a wild subject does not lead to a clean and balanced conclusion. Every "skeptic" that I have ever listened to was so adamant in debunking or proving the argument that it became an unbalanced analysis on already spotty data and information. When an elite fighter pilot claims that he actually chased down a piece of unknown technology in high to low altitudes that was preforming impossible maneuvers, I'm inclined to listen. I don't understand why people are so ready to shut down the professional men and women who patrol our skies. Everyone seems to forget that not just anybody gets to become a fighter pilot.
