I had a '91 DR350S that I bought new and rode until '05 when I bought a DR650. The 350 was truly a great bike. It was actually excellent on the road with it's high top speed, and it was also really great on the Colorado trails.
I had a 94 SE and it is absolutely the most fun bike I've ever owned!!! I'm sure it had a big bore kit installed and the suspension redone because it rode like a dream and had LOTS of power. I still have a pile of parts I intended to put on it but never did so that just gives me a good excuse to buy another one lol. LOVE THE DR350!!!!!
Gidday from Australia. Love your channel. Im 50 in a couple of weeks never ridden off road just bought my self a 1995 dr350se going to do full rebuild cause ill never sell it . Please do more on your dr350 especially if you take it to Moab if tgats the place sorry if its spelt wrong . Keep up the great work mate .
Hello from the Western Slope! Great timing with your video, as I just helped my 14-year-old son pick up his first full size bike: a 1991 DR350R. Holy cow, these things are fun! Thank you for tips regarding mods/upgrades. Suspension rebuild is first on the list. Thanks for the great content!
I love my DR. I scooped a cherry 93 for next to nothing last year. Glad to hear you’re keeping it. I wouldn’t mind an E-Start but they don’t kick quite as hard if they’re sorted. Would love cable replacement overview video.
Picked myself up a 93 Dr350 S already has the Pumper carb needs a bit of work but started gettin some parts together and should have it runnin this month Pretty PUMPED !! Analog dash along with the Key and Cylinder are missing So really havin a time finding them found 1 with K&C and its basically cracked all over and the other is just the gauges , and I get it I don't Need it but would really like to get that analog .
I love the older bikes. I have an XR400. When riding single track, how does the rotating mass of the DR 350 feel compared to the Beta 390 and the 500? I realize the DR isn't made for that type of riding and it weights about 40 lbs more, but it certainly can do it.
I suppose it depends on what the value would be. But my top choice would probably be our GPX Moto FSE250E. For around the $4k price point it's an awesome dirt bike. Even a capable suspension
