2001 K1...160 ( crank ) bhp... 290kph... We used to call it the 1000 SRAD back then when it was in production - R1 riders didn't boast much when these guys were around - no bad mouthing the ( 98-2001 ) R1, but it just couldn't quite stand up against these blokes... Stil a very spunky looking street bike... Oh, and it sod off! 👍👍👍
I topped one of these Gixxer K1's a few years back when I owned one. And yeah, the video is accurate! I actually own an R1 2003 now after I flipped the GSXR.. Love the crotch rockets but many other bike are more capable nowadays.
750 from 2000 tacho! the y0 model which is the only one to show more than 299..... and here it s a 1000 cause gearing as u can see about 26kmh per 1000 trs
I have not tried it. But if you go fast enough you can be lucky and just cut through the deer. And keep going. You will need to wash you bike and helmet. It will be a bit red, but you might just be okay :-)
Nice ride i have the same 1000 gsxr k1 and it’s a Real pleasure !!! I had also a 1000 yamaha r1 from 1999 but it Was less powerful but it was pleasant too with the carburation....
I got an 2001 gsxr1000 black and with yellow letter sweet ride ive only had mine for 2 months bit ive had it up mid 200s with no gear and its fucking scary
Gixers 1000 are so flawless and K1! Doesn't get any better! But why Crazy Idiot? German roads in general are far better then any Canadian highway and yes I drove in Germany. And why to be an owner of this king of beasts if you are not willing to let it loose time to time? No, not an idiot and crazy either. Cool vid! Thx
