In this video we show how to removed the centre dash trim fascia on the Suzuki Jimny to enable the removal of the stereo radio CD player. We also upgrade the side trims on our Jimny to carbon fibre wrap as they are damaged.
The round blanking plate is for Heated Seats (one switch for both driver and passenger) My Japanese 660cc Turbo Jimny JB23W has them as standard and I installed them in my other halfs UK JB43W All radio fascias were 5PK black grain finish but there are 2 versions for the factory double din unit you have then a second version for regular double din or a single din with a pocket/storage area . Best regards vivavitara uk
Ironically Japan and most of Europe have heated seats on the JB43W yet Suzuki GB decided not to add them to the spec sheet due to the tropical conditions found in the UK Drop me a message if you need pdf workshop and parts manuals for your Jimny
Can I ask, do all radios have the same electrical, socket the same. Might just be a stupid question, but wouldn't like to buy a new radio that doesn't connect.😢
George is one very lucky young man to have a father that is so talented and generous! The carbon fiber looks really good. The centre panel sprayed/wrapped would likely set off the carbon fiber even more! I won't suggest silver as I know that you are not that keen on things being silvery.
Does your temperature dial lights up? I think mine is busted, together with my fresh air indicator. How to replace them and what size of the bulb? Thanks!
lol , i love older cars with a standard single or double Din stereo ..soo much easier than these modern infotainment PITA's .. and that carbon wrap looks good
Ah…I was watching and thinking that the code was 1234 as I’m sure that was the same on my Suzuki SuperCarry van in 1993! I thought you would find many details that reflect how carefully thought out the car is in tiny detail. I always think of the rear disc pads on my Mitsubishi Shogun which were simply brilliant…undo one retaining clip and replacing pads was like take a book off a library shelf..it took seconds. Clarion radios were very good so try a speaker upgrade first and again I did that and it was a big improvement. The trim upgrade is very neat…good work Team…and a brief glimpse of Lilly as well!! 😀😀😀😀Richard
Buy a set JIS screwdrivers as they'll be useful if you need to remove other bits in the future. Unless of course you're already using a set in which case..... carry on!! Lol 😆
