good afternoon friend I have a query, the magneto of this motorcycle has 4 or 6 cables since I just bought one but it has the harness on and it has 4 cables and 2 remain unconnected
Hi, i have spark on my suzuki vinson quadbike, but as soon as i ground the plug i have no spark. Only sparks when im holding the spark plug away from ground/earth. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
I have a motor similar to this, but the guy that I purchased it from said it's a 350cc ... where and how do I identify the name of the motor to do some research about it? I can send you pictures of it if needed
Okay so I have the same quad but it has spark but still won’t start and I don’t understand why, I even tried pouring gas into the plug and put it back in and tried starting it and it still won’t even try to start, any ideas on why?
It sounds like a fuel problem, if your getting a good spark. If you lift the seat and remove the air cleaner, pick up some starting fluid and spray a little toward the carburetor. Starting fluid ignites much easier. If it doesn't try and start off the starting fluid. My next step would be to check the compression.
I don’t know if Anyone knows but I have this same quad and don’t have spark and I noticed the other day when I took the stater out it had oil in the stater side of the case does anyone know if it is normal for that to happen or do you think a seal went bad
@@AdamzGarage thanks for ur fast replay i change spark plug ignition coil voltage regulator battery ,solenoid, and have no spark im next whit the stator
I have a 1985 lt230s that just died while I was riding it and now it has no spark I checked every wire no breaks frays or anything but there’s still no spark what’s wrong with it. Thanks
If its definitely not getting spark. It could be several things. Did you happen to get it wetter than usual, we're you going through water ect. If water finds its way into the wiring somewhere it can short out to ground. If not I would suspect something in the magneto.
@@drumboon1986 I would start tracing out wires. It's a slow process, but you might have to unravel the electrical tape on the wiring harness and look for a cut wire ect. It could also be your cdi unit, but there's no easy way to check them and there usually not cheap on ebay. Basically you have the spark plug, spark plug coil , the coil you already changed, and the cdi. If you look at some of my older videos, I did a series on no spark for a suzuki lt 125. That spark issue ended up being water in the wiring harness. Check those out , they may help.
@@AdamzGarage i have a question I have been trying to find rings for my atc 185 the piston size is 63mm but 63mm rings don’t fit do I need bigger rings because the groove where the rings go in the groove are deeper. Thanks
@@drumboon1986 it's possible that they may be 65mm, but I'm not certain. I'm assuming it's a honda 185? I would reach out to babbits partshouse, they could probably tell you for sure.
Think of all the bullshit they could have saved us if they just used points and condenser ignition with a normal automotive coil. More complex doesn't mean better. All this nonsense could be replaced with a simple magnet and a coil from a lawnmower engine too. Engineers need to be required to be mechanics for 10 years before they are allowed to design anything.
