The Suzuki V Strom 800 DE is a user friendly everyday motorcycle, so mush fun to ride. Point it at a corner and next you know it you are around it. For a bike that cost less than 11K there is a lot of tech on this bike. You can pay more by specking it up. But the base platform is a fantastic machine to start off with. It's hard to decide whether I would choose the RE or the DE both fantastic motorcycle.

Nice review, and a nice bike. I got this over the RE, even though my off-road travels will be very short and very infrequent, because I loved it so much during my test of it. Your review and that of others informed me enough to accept the minor issues of cruise/tubed tyres etc, which don’t concern me, as this is my leisure bike. Thanks to you, and Colchester Suzuki for the vid! 😀🙏

Nice review! I bought mine in February. Have 3000kms now. Enjoying it very much, but nothing is perfect. My three main complains : - lights are terrible. I put additionnal lights to feel safer riding at night. - there is a seat issue, which has been acknowledged by Suzuki here in France : water can get inside the seat through the seams, then when you hop on the bike, your ass get wet at the seat seams. - the side stand is a bit weak, and doesn't unfold enough. Depending on where and how the slope is, be careful! - fourth minor complain is that you can feel the heat from the engine to your legs sometimes. Other than that, I love this bike!

Being a fellow tall person, I like the height and seating position of the taller off road model. I'm not so keen on the 21" wheel and tube tyres. As I ride mostly on road I don't think it's for me. 😂😂 I still don't like those stacked headlights. 56 mpg is impressive when I can not get into the 40s Reasonably priced, good engine, and almost certainly reliable. Lots still to like about the Suzuki

@the_mad_leprechaun If I may make hopefully a constructive comment. I believe this very well-made video would have way more views if released western European breakfast time. Even better Saturday or Sunday mornings when the maximum amount of people have time to watch. Unfortunately the algorithm won't recommend your video if it doesn't get much traction in the first few hours. I may of course be completely wrong......... It's a great vid by the way.
