I just discovered this yesterday and have played it several times as my mom's health is failing fast and I'm already grieving. I saw someone ask about the lyrics and I did my best to transcribe it. I missed one word in particular. My transcription isn't perfect, but this song is very healing. Pat said in another video that she believes the family has staying power because God wants to use them to help people. If you want to make corrections on the lyrics, feel free to do so. I love this group. When I was a child, they came to the Dade County Youth Fair in Miami, Florida. My father was a minister and he was very picky about what kind of music we could listen to, but he loved his children and I cried and begged and he got us front row seats to their show. He even bought a ticket for my cousin who was a teenager. So it was the entire family! I had a crush on Foster. I think New Horizons had just dropped. Anyway, here are the lyrics. God bless this family and thank you for writing this song. PS married a man who is Leon Sylvers III's biggest fan. He can recite SOLAR's history.
yeah, me too, I remember when he was competing with Michael, well, his record label had him trying to compete with Michael. No contest, sorry Foster, but I still like you, my man. Lol
Amen i love it its my new theme song for my mom sister and lil brother and my dad the most but to all my loved ones gone on love you granny and grandaddy
Wow, wow, wow. Fantastic! I am JUST fining out about new material from The Sylvers. This is such a talented family, and their harmonies are STILL beautiful .
Great song. It ministered to my soul tonight! Glad to see this talented family still looking and sounding good. Can't get over how good Foster sounds. It's really nice to hear. God bless them all.
I love the Sylvers! I listened and brought their albums as a young teenager! Thank God they are back! They should be on TV and the airwaves! What a beautiful song! R.I.P. Dad and Mom Sylvers, Edmond, and Christopher.
Happy March of Spring from the Little Angels 👼 to the Sylvers. The Sylvers deserves a star 🌟 on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, now is the time. Happy March 7th to Leon (The Wizard) F. Sylvers III.
My mom died 11months ago i could just see her face when i hear this song, next month is the anniversary of her departure two days after her birthday, this song really means something to me i need this song i cant stop playing it over and over.😭
I Love these People!! They sang the songs that became part of the fabric of our lives! They mirrored the millions of families like ours, that have experienced heartache, injustice, disappointment, mistakes and devastating loss. Yet their harmony remains and gives us an example of how nothing can keep good people down! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your music and for never giving up! Keep singing. We all love you!
A beautiful, magnificent, heartfelt song, from a group who has been through so much, and to come back stronger than ever. A true professional, down to earth family, whose singing and harmony,is as tight as ever.To just notice, their professionalism, watch how,at the beginning of the song, where Foster,s microphone wasn't working and he had to find one that was, andndnywaynd when he did,how he so smoothly just fell into sync,in being able to start the song, without missing a beat, and the other members were just as cool and calm. That comes with years of experience, despite the trials and tribulations that they have gone through. It is truly great to see and hear them again.I believe this song will comfort many people and I hope that it will be released on their new CD,that people need in these times.God bless them!
I have and always will L❤️VE the Sylvers! Such an emotional, yet beautiful song 👌🏾I hope that this means there will be future albums and concert dates! I'm so looking forward to you all performances ( especially here in NY) The very best to you all 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is absolutely beautiful! I hope they record and release this song. I believe this is the most soulful, heartfelt song I have ever heard them sing in the 40 years I have been listening to them.
Love it, thank you Sylvers for coming back together, you sound just like yesterday, just better look good. I saw on unsung that their father left them, wow, that is one gorgeous family looking at the picture at the end of the video.
I met the family in the late 70s. We were at the whiskey a go go in Hollywood. I fell in Love with Edmund. We talked all the time. Miss the Family!! Love you guys ❤
Ain't it funny how it's always the youngest child of the bunch ends up being the tallest of all of his/her older siblings? Foster looks like he stands a good 6'3" or 4 even. I'm the youngest of my mom's bunch, and i'm 5'9" and my 2 older sisters stand at 5'3" and 5'4" lol
Am LOVING this song!! Beautiful! Been listening to it everyday! I know it's new, but does anyone know the name of it? I sure hope they release a new CD. Thanks much for posting it.
❤️ wow! Y’all still got it! This song sound so good. I’m 42.. and I will still say this family is so soulful y’all suppose to be bigger than the jackson family. They was talented but not soulful like y’all. Foster is sexy! Yeeeeees I want him!
All them great albums.and song they recorded,,Not to mention all them tours and tv shows they were on,.. And they still got a bad rap by BILLBOARD MUSIC ! Best damn group ever after the Jackson
