Syracuse QB pulls off some of the smoothest play fakes in college football history 😨

During the college football game between Syracuse and Purdue, Syracuse quarterback Garrett Schrader looked like a magician on multiple plays, as the entire defense believed he had handed the ball off only for him to run into the open field. Schrader finished the game with 195 yards rushing as the Orange won 35-20 on the road.

tbh this is kind of result of the modern game and protecting the QB. Its a gamble to blitz the QB on the chance it might be a fake because if its not and you hit him you can guarantee a penalty. And even if it is theres the looming threat of a roughing call. This is almost a safe play in some regards.

Yeah I would have scored too because scoring margin counts towards rankings in college, right? So you kinda have to put the beat down even when the game’s already decided, that’s why teams like Georgia, Alabama, and OSU always beat nobodies like 62-7

@alexmarlow2508
@alexmarlow2508 8 месяцев назад
@@MrSilus2000 this doesn't make him safer at all, it only seems that way because he just happen to trick the defenders, but most of the time the QB will get hit, very rarely would they trick the defenders and break into open field like this, especially in the NFL. NFL defenders are way too fast and hit way too hard and study too many films. Any time QB runs he risks ending his season/career by getting laid out by a NFL linebacker or lineman or safety, you cannot incorporate that into a game plan and do it consistently unless you want your season to end along with the QB
