T'Pau performing 'Heart And Soul' live at Isle of Wight Festival 2013, on Festivo.
The song was released as a single in 1987, taken from the album Bridge of Spies. Following its inclusion in a Pepe Jeans advert, the single reached No. 4 in both the US and UK charts. The song was also featured on the soundtrack for the video game Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City!

I'm so impressed, I loved this song as a kid bc of the over dubbing of her vocals, but to hear it live at 42 and her being older.. Just beautiful.. She looks like she'd be fun in concert

The original recording from the LP is briliant! But MAN! she still can sing this song live. Great performance. T'Pau was one of the first LPs I ever bought. And I still think its a great album. Thanks for sharing the video!

I absolutely loved this song when I was 16 years old in 1987! I grew up in Hialeah Miami Florida area and loved the 80's style as a teenager! We will prevail and come out head of this Coronavirus all my friends of music!! Love T'Pau!!

Carol Decker still has it. The 80's!! I was in my 20's during the 80's w/MTV and dance clubs every Friday and Saturday nights. Driving my new T-Top IROC and my Honda 1000 Hurricane was it. Best decade ever!! The best economy ever w/everyone working making big bucks! Me?? I was a Union Pipe Welder making big $$, and owned a summer home at the beach at 25 yrs old. during the 80's. If we could just go back for one month. The 80's!! Thank you Carol Decker and T'Pau!!

Probably my favorite vocalist from the 80s...while others were loving Pat Benatar or Belinda Carlisle...or Grace Slick...I'm a fan of all of them, but Carol is my favorite! I can't believe she is still going just as strong as she did in the 80s...and in the same key!!!

They released a few songs like this one back in 1987.It holds life changing memories for me at 21 when i was forced out of my hometown.I got my first proper job and the speakers were playing Tpau songs from the radio.The strains of these songs stay with me.

Love this track. It was the first one out back in the day that introduced the band to the charts that I heard. Made a big impression on me, it wasn't your "run of the mill" songs out at the time. Carol Decker will always have that amazing voice to pull this track off...she's a trooper!.

Agreed. The spoken parts originally sounded more like chanting, now sounds more like rap. If that isn't a step down, I don't know what is!

Has anyone noticed how Linkin Park (a band I loathe btw) used the same trick of rapping with vocals behind it building to a big chorus? I think they had a particularly dire song called "Numb" that used it, although I'm pretty sure they subjected audiences to it in a lot of their songs.
