Honestly the Tetris tip so helpful cause for someone like me who gets very concerned when things don’t fit perfectly, knowing that it’s optimal to just throw stuff around and have empty gaps is such a relief
Splatoon1 had a mini game right? I don’t you could fast travel to it. Same for splatoon3, there is no fast travel. It’s like a secret, but people are noticing TTB which is cool.
One correction and one addition: It doesn’t matter which special tiles you have activated. When you use your special, the tiles you lay down just have to touch ANY of your special tiles, activated or not. And two additional strategies: rather than blocking off your opponent from your own territory, you can rush behind their lines and mess up their area. Or, you can focus solely on activating special tiles and making your shapes perfect, then slamming down the big pieces over their color. I’ve been forced into using these alternate strategies and they have worked out for me so far.
This was a super chill and informative video! Would definitely be interested in watching you play more and maybe play online once it gets added in the future. I had no strategy when I tried and just tried to play like it was Tetris lol.
Glad to see someone has a bit of a guide also harmony gets all up inside your area if you don't block her off I have too much experience with that I should definitely try that way of deck building
Good to see I'm not the only one who fell in love with this gamemode! Great video by the way, I've been feeling a bit confused about deckbuilding in this game so a guide like this is perfect for me.
Nice video. There just one thing that you might want to take into account when deck building. I've noticed that all the special cards (that is cards that are based on specials like Ink Jet and Trizooka) are all 12 in size, have no special tile but only cost 3 special tiles to use. This gives them a ratio of 4:1 tiles covered to special tiles used which is better than any other card inn the game with most having ratios of 2:1 or 3:1. The tradeoff here should be obvious. In exchange for not having a tile to charge specials, you can build a deck with the idea of charging at least 6 spots and finish the game with 2 large special attacks covering 24 tiles rather than just 1. Of course it adds an extra layer of depth where you now hove some large cards you want to draw late but I really do think this could be the key to some of the harder fights where you fall behind.
Thanks for this guide. I simply followed your advice of building decks of 6 cards Under 6 points, 6 cards over or at 12 points and 3 cards between 5 and 8 points, and i'm already faring a lot better. I really don't like these types of games to begin with, (besides Uno) but since it's required to unlock certain gear it's impossible to ignore it
I love this game mode too! It's really strangely addicting. XD I think I've played it more than the multiplayer modes so far... lol. Nice tips though should help a lot of people confused about it.
This video helped me learn how to build a better deck (I hit a wall on lower levels) and I unlocked and rock the TTB banner proudly. Just wanted to say thank you, this video rocks!
Great video! TTB is really fun, I've been playing it at work because it's the only thing I can do in Splatoon with pausing. I also noticed no one in ranked has the TTB tag.
I've already seen all of your videos but I'm actually rewatching all of your tableturf battle videos again. I love your Splatoon 3 videos, they're really fun to watch! Can't wait for when they add more updates to this mode and if they do you'll be the channel I'll watch for more tableturf content! ^^
Thank you! I rlly enjoy this game and have been playing it a bit too, the deck organisation was the only thing rlly tripping me up and your 6 small 6 big rule has worked out rlly well!!
I’ve been playing it every time I boot up the game and am obsessed, these tips are super helpful cause now that I’m unlocking the idols and struggling with level 3 rivals it’s gotten more difficult haha
If you find random people in the square holding cards, you can challenge them to a duel. Found out randomly today. I wish there's an online battle option.
Experience truly is the bitchiest and best of teachers, and while I don't currently have the time to invest into tableturf, it's really interesting to see these high level matches Love the content and the way it's presented
Great video! I've fallen in love with tableturf Just a small tip, if anyone read this: If you're trying to build up specials, but the openings around your special blocks are weird, you can use one of your specials on a small card such as the splat bomb. If you find a good spot, you can get your special point back along with an extra one!
you’re going to be an absolute menace to society pretty soon since there’s an update coming that lets you play this against other people online, without being controlled by a computer
This table stuff is weird, but your video has helped me, thank you I only have 3 decks can't find them I understand it now! 0:52 thank you so much!!!!!!
tableturf is so fun! Who else was screaming at the screen cause they saw a spot for the last half of the first match where she could have gotten 2 specials in one move? Sure, she would have only gotten 3 points, but she could have used that 12 block as a special and stolen 12 points thanks to those 2 special points she gained.
Decent tips! I ignored Tableturf for a while but after I started playing more I started having more fun. My only gripe is that Pearl and Marina don't have cards! Shame.
Like I wanna play more tableturf but between the upcoming splatfest, leveling the catalogue, earning coins for daily items, and the salmon run shifts to earn capsules it's hard to fit in tableturf. Hopefully more info comes out so we can get some solid lists for decks. I remember in .hack gu there was a card game you could play called crimson versus and I made this nutty auto win turn 1 deck. Good times.
I went to catalog lvl100 and entirely completed story mode by the time I really got into Tableturf, though it was a tad confusing to have so many cards to pick from for deck-building by then.
Hi! Pretty new to table turf, I've played a little in between normal mode and everything.just one question, What classes a small, middle and large card?
Honestly the reason why no one plays is because they think it's a easy game, and they prefer the real deal, so in my opinion I will do both, regular turf war and table top battle, I like a good relaxing game after intense turf battles
how many rare cards do you have? i got like 8 or 9 just from the storymode alone sucks that they have such high numbers tho. if those numbers were lower i'd be more willing to use them
