Tackling the Loss and Damage Fund 

The session aimed to enhance adaptation practitioners’ understanding of the Loss and Damage Fund as a new finance mechanism. It initiated a dialogue on strategic actions necessary to enhance the Fund's impact in the region. Also, the session sought to identify actionable steps for Asia-Pacific countries and stakeholders on tackling the Loss and Damage Fund ahead of COP29.
The session drew insights from expert speakers from the Green Climate Fund, UNFCCC and members of the Loss and Damage Fund Board.
