Tack the front bracket you can always cut it back out.. no way you can clamp those c clamps tight enough to hold from moving under load.. where you’re going on this is correct and this is why you should just tacked everything up to this point and not fully welded it.

Out of factory there is a 1/4 tolerance.... so it’s give or take which vehicles are good or out
