In this video, I show you an easier series of techniques to remove your wheel bearings and CV axles. Wheel bearings are definitely high wear items especially if you have larger tires and a heavier setup. If you run into seized parts while doing your work, definitely check out my previous CV and Wheel bearing video - where I do run into rusted on parts - it's definitely NOT FUN: • FRONT Wheel Bearing Re...

I’ve used a PVC cap to tap the seals in…works good👍🏼

Great attention to detail with all the cleaning, greasing, anti seize ect. Exacly why I try not to take to shop as they likely just throw things back in. Thanks for all the great videos, been helping me with my build for a while now.

Great instructional video as usual. I have a question with regards to replacing the lower ball joints. Why are you replacing entire lower arm instead of just LBJ? Unless of course you need new bushings or some high end aftermarket arm.

I answer that in my LCA video (it's closer to the end of the video): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3D29XuFu5EM.html

Hey Kflo, another awesome video! I’m doing my bearings and can’t seem to figure out which seals go where. I ordered complete assemblies for both sides. Any chance you can help me figure out which seals I need to order, please? 🙏

Another #10 Did you replace the Toyota driver's side front differential bearing ? I did mine with the East Coast replacement sleeve while I was in there replacing my cv drive axle

Just watched it. .I had an almost impossible axle/ bearing hub assembly separation..I couldn't get the axle to push out of the bearing housing in order to change out the axle..

I have never heard anything positive about aftermarket CVs, especially with respect to the CV boots, on Toyotas. There's a big cost difference I realize, but given the time involved in replacement, it seems like false economy to use the lower cost product (the one linked above) over the OEM. I'm curious why you opted for the after market vs OEM. Do you find the OEM had poor longevity?

I'm harsher than most people with my truck. This aftermarket Cardone CV has held up about 70k miles and roughly 4 years. And i replaced them with the same ones. The salt spray in jersey is harsh. I would've just replaced the boots if the bearing surfaces weren't so rusty and pitted. With regards to the boots, it's actually not that difficult to replace the boots, u don't even need to take the whole CV off. Check out this video (ru-vid.com5KImfLqT5Q0 ) once you remove it from the diff side you have access to replace the inner boots. It's usually the inner that gets chewed

Nice work. I love my 2nd gen nice to see you doing what I consider normal maintenance. Were those your original CV’s ? If not how many miles would you say they lasted? Also how much is your truck lifted in front. I want to lift mine about 1.5 inch and know that angle will be rough on those axels.

I do some pretty hard 4 wheeling and mudding. My OEMs lasted about 110k miles (that was on stock and then 33" tires @90K). My tires are also 35's and I have a 4wheel camper so these lasted about 60K. My lift is a 2 inch lift.

Any updates on the CV axles? I did the same exact ones on my truck and after 2 months both inner boots are already leaking.

The old ones that came off were also Cardone HDs and they lasted me a few years. The ones that I currently have on are running solid. I would advise contacting the company and asking for a warranty replacement
