dude speaks like he's lived 500 lives already, i really respect and appreciate his candour and self-value, it's really refreshing. anyways, go tadej!! you can do it bestie!!
You can see he loves the sport. Goes more on feel and instict rather than computer telemetry. Old school love it. Really looking forward to watching him race for many years to come!
Love it spot in man he knows, like Cavendish proved , being positive and composed maximize your potential keeping control of that heart rate and stress hormones. You have done your training it's done come race time it's efficiency so he listens to his body not a computer. Wonderful thing nibali and contador preach same it is most valuable training tool available the metrics but if you aren't composed you will not make right moves or win. Cav didn't get faster he just had confidence and believed again and tried things that his confidence might not have even attempted shooting gaps or waiting to kick. That doesn't make him push more watts than ever just gets him closest to optimal outcome. It's such great theater too!! Love it: ).
Keep on being great. It is really unfortunate how the sport's past won't allow many of us to fully appreciate this bright, humble superstar. I won't be one of those people
Born in Scotland, grew up in Canada, know only English. A young man like this who speaks a second language so well has my envy. It also says something for the education system in the city he grew up in.
Most EU countries have people talking atleast 2 languages, I know 4, English, dutch, german, french. I speak dutch, was able to have a conversation with english people by the age of 7ish maybe 8. And that's my generation ( i'm 30 ), the younger generation is even faster b/c of technology, using phones and tablets very early on.. it's insane.
I was asking myself how can this kid be on top now. I can understand Van der Poel ... he uses the energy of three cycling generations of his family. But Pogadcar??? ... now I'm wiser... he seems to use the power of the now. Works for him 👍 very good man!
I'm a big Primoz Roglic fan and was devastated when Tadej overtook him that epic TT last year. But after watching this, it's really hard to not be a fan of Tadej. He truly seemed to have some genuine emotion when talking about "taking away" that Tour win from Roglic. And look at that face. You forget he's just a kid!!
cycling has a great champion,he is very young but is very laid back and is very humble !!!! this is get for cycling on a global scale , cycling is the in thing to do ,since the pandemic cycling sales has gone through the roof,we need to capitalize on it .
You cannot not like this young man. Showing good tactics , power and consistency. And he is doing with with much love for the bike. He's truly enjoying it. We are set for great future in cycling with such young studs winning
As an older cycling fan, I was blown away by the lack of ego, hubris and arrogance that characterized the cheating Americans like Armstrong, Hamilton, Hincapie, Vaughters and the sleazy cabal of 2 decades ago. Tadej is a refreshing change of a person who races for all the right reasons. His humility is fantastic. All the best Tadej.
Bro if you think this guy is natty, I’ve got a castle in North Dakota to sell you. 😂 We all just look the other way until an ignominious like yourself pops up, and makes us speak which should not be spoken.
I think part of it has to do with the fact that he grew up in Slovenia. Humility is a valued trait over here and cockiness/arrogance is generally criticised. That's why a lot of our athletes are very humble and down to earth. Even when they've achieved great things that anyone should be proud of it very rarely goes to their head.
Tadej Pogačar is a beautiful person! I am a fan! His from slovenia and i am from Bosnia we are pretty much the same! I love cycling and i am happy we have a young bright star to take the sport to the next level! Natural legit beast of a cyclist and i dont see anyone beating him in the next few years!! @Tadej Pogačar!! I want your bicycle!!!!! Bad!!!!!
Inace mi u Srbiji nemamo ni blizu vozaca kao Pogacar i Roglic a opet vi ste nam nekako najblizi tu u okruzenju . Kada ukinu COVID-fasisticke mere , eto me bicklom do Slovenije .
This kid came out of nowhere to be the most exciting TDF dominator since the American who shall not be named! I can’t wait to see him defend next rear. Hopefully his competition can stay on their bikes so we can really see him at his MAX. This year he looked like a cat playing with the mice!
Has Met wondered if there is a way to improve aerodynamics by tucking TPs hair in? (I also grin when I see the tufts sticking out the top ;-)) (It is so easy to be inspired by TP with an interview like this: level headed, at peace...
They are definitely coming up with strategies to beat pogacar. The only way might be an act if God. I hope he stays focused and keeps his will to win even after all this success. Very few have ever had his potential to become one of the all time greats
SI ES FUERZA NATURAL LO DE POGACAR ES INCREIBLE PERO A VECES PIENSO QUE ESTA UTILIZANDO UNA NUEVA SUSTANCIA PROHIBIDA COMO LO HIZO LANCE ARMSTRONG . QUIZA NO QUEDE COMO EL TOUR DEL DOPAJE FRANCES
It's not like they all learn as a toddler dude, I'm sure he remembers learning to ride. Insanely leading questions. How many questions are you going to ask that he'd literally just answered? Learn to adapt your questioning plan as you go. Even after he made some very quotable remarks, you missed follow-up on that and instead asked unnecessary questions. And holy shit, you have to ask if high-performing peers can be friends?? "How much reliance do you actually have on the power meter" you could ask; why on earth would he NOT use it at all? This is Pogacar dude; do better, seriously.
Let me guess, he is on juice. Like any other Slovenian, right? Slovenians can't be winners... right? If all this managers have long history in doping why are they aloud to be in cycling business?
@@Kintabl other teams employ directors who doped be sky hired rabobank doctor even tho entire rabobank team or nearly entire team doped. And we have the conviction of Dr Freeman now for buying dope for sky riders. These facts show a pervasive prob of non-dealing w doping throughout the sport on all teams. That pervasiveness increases not decreases the chances that any one team and any one rider is doping. I am putting in hundreds if pro bono hours to get the depos under oath of froome Wiggins brailsford. Sarcasm is not pleasing to me and in fact is ineffective, not just yours but as a general matter. Thus our conversation is over. You can try the sarcasm w someone else, it does not work for me. Naskle.
@@paulsolon6229 Then anti-doping commission is doing a lousy job. Problem is that you indirectly accusing Pogačar of doping based on history of his managers.
As much as Pogacar seems to be a nice person and passionate rider, this interview is - sorry to say this - extremely boring, questions and answers alike. The whole 20 minutes don’t reveal anything unexpected - emotional flatline!
He is doping. Generating 6.77W per kilo is an impossible feat according to all sports scientists. What is humanly possible is 6.4watts/kilo for the greatest of the greats. This guy is doing inhuman things. His team has two managers with a history of doping. His climb on the col de columbiere of stage 8 of TDF 2021 - passing Simon Yates on a cat 1 climb by downshifting 500 meters from the top of the climb just to pass Simon Yates is humanly impossible to achieve.
