I'm so far behind now with tags that I've lost track. A double header is a great idea. I know I was tagged for the Honest Booktuber one! I still need to find Brownsville. Great tags!

Thanks for doing my tag. Happy to have found your channel. Half a Lifelong Romance sounds like something I would like. Also love a good short story collection. They are hard to find. Love your dream of being a translator. Wonderful! 😊💙

Thank you! I could go on and on just gushing about Half a Lifelong Romance. If you pick it up, I hope you like it. I look forward to sharing my pursuit of translation on my channel.

Thank you so much for the sweet words you said about my videos! :):) I'm so far behind in tag videos too! I should just plan a day to film a bunch. :D Loved hearing your answers and I really enjoy the laidback style of your videos. You are very calming. I actually have the first book you mentioned, A Good Man is Hard to Find that's been on my shelf for ages that I need to get to. As for not remembering the books we've read, I read Jane Erye in my 20s and I can't remember the plot at all, but I remember loving it! I'm due for a re-read of that too, haha. Olive Kitterage sound like a fun one too. Hope you have a nice weekend!

You always have lots of books I've never heard of that sound interesting! My Antonia I read for the first time last year and loved, I've read one Elizabeth Strout book but not Olive Ketteridge, I need to get that one.

Very clever putting these two together! I’m so behind on tags too, we’ll catch up eventually 😂 Thank you for saying such kind things about me and my channel, I appreciate it a lot. I’m glad you’re just you too! I think you read on a different level and it comes across in your videos when you really love a book, or laughed out loud or enjoyed some food 😅 I don’t know of any other channel that is like yours, so I think you should be very proud of that. I don’t know how to vlog either btw, I find it hard to pick up the camera and continue to film things. But in theory that’s all you have to do, and then just put one clip after the other 😊 I’m sure you could if you tried! Loved hearing about some of these favorites of yours. What genre would you say Brownsville is? Looks a bit creepy on the cover, is it? Or just sort of contemporary or something else? Oh btw, I would not have read 1984 in school either if I could get out of it. I’m reading it now and I’m almost done, but I was so bored in the beginning! 😂

Thank you Ellen - for watching and for the kind feedback about me and my channel. I will try to practice putting clips together until I get the hang of it. Oh, Brownsville is a collection of short stories. I would say it's literary fiction. It's not horror, but at least one of the stories has an element of horror - but it's not scary. It's matter of fact and you're just reacting to it in disbelief...does that make sense? I think there are also some elements of mild magical realism - the magical realism is not prominent in the stories...it's more subtle.

@@books_and_bocadillos No rush of course 😊 I just get excited! That sounds good! And yeah that does make sense, it’s like if there’s scary music in a movie or not 😂
