What pisses me off is that these people are making ‘questionable’ content under the guise of “breastfeeding and pumping”, because they know they can use it as a defense and as a way to gaslight others who call out their gross behavior. I’m all for breastfeeding/pumping and actually just finished that journey with my son. What they’re doing though, is disturbing , and as you’ve said, they’re fetishizing it

So I am a Certified Lactation Counselor. I've breastfeed my daughter almost 3 years, and ive been a CLC for over 4 years I have never ever seen milk that white before. Im kindda calling out bullshit.

Regarding the comments on her video. Someone told me that they way Taina and her minions manage it is that they have prior approval over the comments. They only let the comments they like to be posted. I can see the comment I wrote under that video but I guess no one else can. With a topic that controversial, doubtless they got a lot more questioning as well as negative comments. Here’s what I commented, in case anyone is interested: “I support breastfeeding. I breastfed all three of my children. It’s a normal and natural way to feed a baby and no woman ought to ever be shamed for it. I’m all for promoting and normalizing breastfeeding. However, your seductive behaviour in this video is presenting a sexualized view of breastfeeding that breastfeeding advocates have been arguing against for years. As someone who used to be a fan of this family i feel like I can answer the question as to what draws people to the channel. Originally the family lived in Finland and portrayed a completely different lifestyle. The mom, who is around 44 I believe, got the family lots of attention with her "mom of 10 morning routine" videos. The family seemed wealthy, educated, ate very healthy, were active, had lots of hobbies like music, dance, art, hairstyling, construction etc. Those of us who started watching her videos started watching because of the novelty of having 10 children and their minimalist plant based lifestyle. The family always seemed odd but they just seemed like they were doing things a different way. Things started to change when the family moved to Australia. Then we found out that their whole lifestyle was a lie. They are not wealthy, educated or talented at much. The big draw of them being a plant based family also died out when Taina started to claim that they never were vegan and people just assumed that. They moved into a tiny run down shack and ate nothing but junk food and slept on the floor. This is around the time when Cleopatra age 23( the oldest daughter) had her baby. She originally named the baby Anakin-Taina and had Sacagawea as one of her middle names but Sacagawea seemed more popular so as of now the baby's name is Sacagawea-Taina. As of late all of Tainas girls, Cleopatra, Nefertiti, Aphrodite and Sacagawea which is Cleopatra's baby have hyphenated their names with -Taina eg. Cleopatra-Taina. If anyone has any questions about the family feel free to ask I can probably answer it. I have followed their story since the beginning.

Notice that the daughter has a crop top but also little side buns to come off younger than she is. Usually you see it in anime where they add pigtails to subliminally make the viewer think they are younger. So disgusting!

If tiana is really still breastfeeding she’s doing it to keep her weight down. Everytime I’ve breastfed I lose a ton of weight. And we all know how she is about her appearance she wants to be young and breastfeeding a 5/6 year old is helping her do that.

I wonder, is that the reason they left Jyväskylä, Finland? Was child protection services alarmed and on this case? Finland has 5.5 million inhabitants and Jyväskylä 128.000. And as in the other Nordic countries (Denmark, Island, Norway and Sweden) the communities are quite transparent. There are systems developed to follow the inhabitants from birth to grave to ensure children's needs are covered, that sick people receive medical help (for free), that people in need has a roof over their head, especially families with children. This is the society's responsibility to provide for, if the individual can't. So why the eagerness of moving from rather nice lifestyle in Jyväskyla, to travelling Europe with a bunch of kids, to young to remember it, to a lifestyle perceived as poverty in Australia with approximately 26 million inhabitants? A giant continent. It is easier to hide away, and keep under the radar of the Australian government concerning the welfare and safety of these children. But if they loose what ever income they get from RU-vid they end up even poorer than now. From what I read we are many thinking the same, the people from Australia who actually know this family's whereabouts, you are in my opinion responsible to take action and report this to the authorities.

I breastfed all my kids , the longest I’ve gone is 18 mos. By then we both kinda have had it. I’ve pumped with all my kids also and Never have I seen white Brest milk like that. FYI, yes, the family deletes all negative comments. All. And second, she is nursing her youngest child, Omega, who will be six years old in November. She nurses him constantly. She sets a timer to remind herself to nurse him in case she forgets. She also nursed the other three youngest children until a few months ago, when she took them on a vacation to a hotel to tell them that she was cutting them all off. Omega had a meltdown so she decided to keep nursing him. Allegedly.

Josh, I agree with you on the SA. Also, there’s a certain point when this prolonging becomes about the mother, not the child. It must be an undiagnosed mental health issue, borderline Munchausen {now called Factitious disorder}, maybe even a form of late postpartum depression. This really needs to be further studied so that everyone affected can get help.

I have breastfed 5 children. There's a way to "normalize" breastfeeding, and a way to sexualize it. This is definitely sexualized. Gross. And no, honestly it's not normalized. I went to a baseball game, and asked the staff if they had a nursing mother's room, they all (3/4 different people), said "yes, it's over here", and pointed me to the family BATHROOM. I might not have minded as much, if there had been anywhere to sit besides the toilet. They didn't tell me "no, the only thing we have is the bathroom", that would have been different. It was rude. Also, I'm in the south, many women breastfeed. I visited a church and asked if there was a quiet place to nurse, and again, no. Not a single place, because even the unused Sunday school rooms had security cameras in them. Again, I was given the option of the bathroom or going to my car. I'm not saying everywhere needs a place, but I don't think it's too much to ask for honesty if there isn't one. Also, this video is gross.

Many years ago someone shared her channel in a mom group I was in, basically because it was 'inspiring how she had it so together as a mom of 10 kids, all so well behaved, etc'. I checked it out and immediately got abusive vibes. The blanket training (even though I don't think she ever explicitly says she did that), weird stuff with food and portions, unnatural playtime and quiet kids. It made me feel icky, stopped watching and honestly hoped they would fizzle out. Obviously that was naive and now it's gotten weirder.

Im currently breastfeeding my 2 year old. I do it in public all the time and no one bats an eye at me because I'm not making it a show. This isn't for her kids or other mom's it's for a very specific audience, and she knows it.

In the Australia day video, one son, d'Art lifts his shirt inadvertently and his abdomen is cover in bruises. It's odd. He realizes he exposed his bruises and flips his shirt down really quick. I honestly think there is more abuse going on in that household and the dad is likely equally as involved. Also when they lived in Findland there is a video where the entire family gets into a sauna together and they state that usually they are naked, but wearing bathing suits just for the video. Those kids are in danger. Granny T clearly controls the children with food in order to preform. There is so much blatant abuse going on and who knows how bad it is behind the scenes.

Breast milk has no extra nutritional value for people past when they start eating three meals of solid food so if your child doesn’t eat three meals of “table food” continue on but if they are eating three meals of “table food” they no longer need breast milk!

My mom was a grandma with a 3 year old. 🤣 She had my oldest sister at 19 (2 years after getting married), and had my youngest brother at 42, same dad! My parents have been married for 40 years come November, and have suffered many miscarriages, and have 6 kids altogether. My mom's last miscarriage was 3 months before my sister found out she was pregnant. So they would have had children pretty close in age.
