Chris, again a new perspective for me and I will begin to add that to my game. It would also be helpful for you to explain the uphill and down hill type of putts. Pace is the key to them all and I watched one video about practicing different entry points using pace from the same spot. Many thanks, Cheers!

Absolutely correct. Most golfers do exactly what you said about the apex. Apex is 2 feet out, so I'll aim 2 feet out from the hole. They never seem to get looking thru the apex and aiming at that point. Then it all comes down to pace. And as always, practice, practice, practice. JM2C

I often miss on the low side due to not starting it correctly. Sometimes it just seems ridiculous that I can aim that wide. I'll take more confidence in aiming at the correct start line. Thanks Chris!

Still great vids Chris. This explains well, why I generally miss 'low side' of the hole. All the time ive been blaming my stroke or lack of pace rather than the wrong line. Is there a general rule of thumb for taking the wider start line from the apex point?

Hi Chris. This explains why I usually miss low but where do you aim if not at the apex...how far outside that apex...is there a general rule used dependent on the feet or measure of break? i.e. One foot of break so aim two balls farther left then the apex as the start line for left to right putt. Just looking for a general rule of thumb if there is one. Great video....I’ll definitely give myself a bit more room to come in on the high side. Cheers

David ferity said that he didn't become an excellent green reader until he started commentating for a living because only off the green a few steps can you really see the slopes.
