Taking Showers at Air Force BMT 

Hi, my names is Alissa. I am 16 in AFJROTC going into my 3rd year of that. I just wanted to say that I liked your channel so much I made a RU-vid account so I could subscribe to your channel! So thanks for giving all the tips and information that you do.

When I went through BMT there was a huge fear about showering in front of a bunch of other dudes. Don't sweat it. You're trying to rush so fast to not get yelled at that you honestly don't really have time to let the fact that you're around a bunch of other naked men bother you. Honestly, after a few times of doing it, it becomes something that's pretty natural. Has nothing to do with sexuality or anything, it's just "oh, we're showering... that's that then". People make it seem like its a huge deal, but we usually ended up running around completely naked most of the time and not giving much of a shit. If anything, keep your face to the wall, keep your eyes closed (be under the water 99.9% of the time) and then get the hell out. Showering can take 30 seconds if you squirt a decent amount of body wash on yourself prior to jumping in. I usually just squirted a decent amount of body wash on my head at my locker and then walked into the shower. Lather up super fast, and get out. You might not be squeaky clean, but you're going to get dirty and sweaty not long afterwards, so something akin to a good "once over" is plenty. If you're someone who genuinely stinks, take an extra second or two to focus on your pits and/or crotch. Other than that, the run off will get most everything else well enough.

i'm gonna say the biggest concern for MOST people isn't the showers but showering with a bunch of naked people of the same sex. but with only 15 minutes to shower if that and the flustered nature and how fast your mind is racing you're not gonna be worried about penis envy or wondering if other girls will make fun of your labia everybody is trying to get in and out just like you. no fucks on their end.

When you say tech school is that your major, Computer Science. Right now im looking into the Computer science and computer engineering majors and trying to decipher what the difference is in what you’ll learn and the jobs you can get. Also the bathrooms are really holding me back the thought of everyone looking and comparing

I have dry skin, so I try to avoid using soap and shampoo - if I can. Can I shower with only water?

They only gave us 14 minutes for all 44 Trainees. We only had 6 shower heads

Hell yeah they got more shower heads in Disney Land. They also have the washing machines and dryers IN THE DORM. Lucky bastards.

@WildBlueYonder Could you cheat and just bring a 2 in 1 shampoo + bodywash for showers and use that while just having the seperate bottles out for display?

Question i have acne but its manageable, ik you said showers are short but will you have time to wash your face with a acne cleanser and use lotion or no?

If you have a "small problem" simply hold it up wards and clean underneath and hold your shit at all times sooner or later you won't worry realizing everyone is as worried or as freezing as you and aren't worry what your packing with! Goodluck I start soon :)

Trust! NO one is looking at you. Ladies you will not like the community showers that some facilities have, but deal with it! You just want to get clean! You are going into the MILITARY! Act like it! Once you get to your duty station you will have all the time you need for GLAM! Air Force girls are the cutest! #BeenThereDoneThat. Very informative as usual! Good job.

Airforce is lucky for their 15 shower heads. In the navy you have 80 to 84 people to cycle through 10 shower heads.

Is there a look but don't touch policy?

do we have to shower right after PT or we shower at night before bed? do you wait outside and try not to look at others showering while you wait for your turn? If possible, can you make a video talking about GI bill and the air force paying for your existence student loans? thanks

This probably sounds like a silly question but after you graduate tech school, how much time before you go to your first duty base? Is it like that weekend like bmt? Or a few days after you graduate?

So you mentioned about you wondering if the water would be hot or cold but you never gave a solid answer, and i've been wondering this, will the water be cold or warm as soon as you turn it on? Or does it start off cold and gradually turn warm? Thanks!

Can I bring shower wipes?

So I've heard in the summer you shower after PT, but in the winter you shower at night. Is this true? I'm leaving November 24th. Also thank you for your videos, they're very helpful!
