What up RYU! Back in 2015 I posted a very long and difficult Mario maker level and nobody ever beat it or really got that far in it, and honestly, it was a real bummer considering I spent so much time making it. While the level was hard, I still wished someone had taken the time to really get through it. My plan was to make lots of levels and interact with all the people playing them through the Miiverse chat, but when college came and most of my levels were being deleted without gaining traction, I decided to leave my Wii U at home and that little dream of mine was left with it. Then a couple days ago, I dusted off the console and hooked it back up. I had a lot of unread notifications, but the one that caught my attention said that somebody had beaten my course. I hurriedly pulled it up, and out of 99 total players there was one winner, a player named Ryukahr, and I was very happy. I don't know why but I decided to google that name, and wouldn't you know it, the guy that beat my level and fully realized an old dream of mine is a popular RU-vidr. I could feel the 2015 me smiling from somewhere inside me. While I never got that huge interactive experience I was hungry for, I was glad that someone took on my challenge and beat it, because in the end, that's all I ever really wanted. I would've been happy with anybody but the fact that it was you definitely makes it a whole lot cooler. I'm in the process of watching all your Mario Maker videos, and every time a new level pops up, I always get tense, hoping that it will be mine. But anyways, 2015 me just wanted to say thank you!
GrillburgerDAQ yeah sure. Though unless he beat your level in the last week it's not likely he would include it in an episode. He generally plays the level a week or 2 before putting it in a video
I was assuming he ran into it during an expert or super expert run long ago. My notifications didn't tell me when he played it and I've been watching his older videos for that reason. But it's not like he films every moment he spends playing Mario Maker. It's likely he played it when not livestreaming/recording. With that said, he's still entertaining to watch and the random nature of the levels make for fun videos. with that said, my level ID is 7F8A-0000-0053-4217. It's a long and winding endurance test. It's not the best thing in the world, but I think it's a fair level, which says a lot considering the fact that many levels tend to have no structure or spam enemies at random.
At 11:41 I think what the dev intended was that people would have to dodge the bones while waiting for the chomper to trigger the p switch so the block blocking the way would become a coin, however they forgot big mario could break the block with a spin jump.

Hi Ryu. For a while I have been watching your videos and I like the mario maker stuff and the mario world hacks that you have posted the most. You have inspired me to try to start doing the same. Not only are you really good at what you do, but your attitude is great, and I am sure anyone else who gets inspired to stream on you tube have you to thank and look up to you as their role model. Please keep on doing what you are doing and I look forward to seeing you live stream mario maker on Fridays again. I am starting videos of my own on my channel and I find that this is a fun thing to do and I see why you like it so much. Also who doesn't like playing video games right? Anyways I am sure you have heard all of this before, but just wanted to let you know that you have one more fan on the board who is very happy and inspired thanks to everything you do. Pretty solid levels here, it's nice to see your subscribers haven't gone overboard this with the trolls in their levels for once . Also, your nose for finding all the delicious cheese is uncanny, easy every time!
Challenge: Skip if you die to a specific enemy. ("The Rival" challenge) So if there is an enemy in the title ("Thwomp Smash!") Then you must skip if you die to a thowmp. If there isn't an enemy in the title, then the first enemy you see is your "rival" and if that enemy kills you, you must skip. (So in that first level, Ryul Nice, the first enemy was the Pirhana Plant. If you died to ANY Pirhanna Plant, you must skip). Note things that don't count as enemies: Saws Firebars Fireballs (being shot out of a cannon - IIRC those aren't Podoboos) Spikes "Falling" off the stage Burners

I love making levels in various games early 90's to now. I would like to make levels with Mario Maker but can't justify the cost of console only for Mario Maker. loves the vids Ryu
