Recently I was able to sit down to talk with Frank Klepacki, Audio Director at Petroglyph Games and former Composer at the late Westwood Studios. We talked about the development of soundtracks for Westwood classics like Red Alert, and Tiberian Sun. We also chatted about Star Wars: Empire at War!

Hey guys - was hoping to have the Red Alert 2 review out by now, but it's taking longer than expected! I want to do it right, so I'm going to finish it after I review CNC Remastered next week. Until then, enjoy the second half of my interview with the wonderful Frank Klepacki. Cheers!

Universe At War although not a great successor to SW Empire At War, it gave us a bad ass soundtrack that has songs as epic as Hell March.

20 years ago when I was 15 we had internet for the first time! Not that much later when I had an email adress I sended with my broken English at the time an email to Frank. And got a reply back! Such an amazing memory. Dude is pure amazingness.

My personal favourite Frank's OST, Universe at War. He really demonstrated variety and consistency he is capable of. Grey Goo lacked that, though Goo part is oustanding

When class is over I am going to play the Tiberium out of the mod Dawn Of The Tiberium Age. Soviet vs Nod vs Allies vs GDI is Epic! Also Time Vortex superweapon.

Franks work in Empire at war is amazing. I remember i played the game so much, i got confused with the film scores and i couldnt tell which was John Williams and which was Frank Klepacki because it was so seamless

The old Blade Runner game i loved that game when i was younger and bought again on GOG the day it dropped.I still play Empire at War a few people what a sequel but most i would say just want a remaster.

Hes totally right. Western game music, movie music, every music has stagnated considerably. Japan still pumps out some good tunes for their games, the west not as much.

I would like a sequel to Empire At War, but instead why not go with a Warhammer 40,000 product instead of $tar War$ as Disney is has handed over exclusivity to EA.
