DasAntiNaziBroetchen is XDarkEcho an incel just because they’re right about how women have unrealistic standards for men just like shown in this video?
apparently the actress who plays the nominal tall girl got bullied in school for being tall and she wants to combat that for other Tall Girls, but who knows how much input she had in the production
I am actually deeply interested in the idea of the attractive foreign exchange guy being in witness protection and trying to be unpopular for his own safety, lmao. What a premise.
"My mother was raped to death, my father was gunned down by gangsters and my family was forced into the military." "I know how you feel bro, I feel like I'm one tall girl. It's horrible."
Tall girl has a good (and weird) sister who cares for her, 2 boys who like her, and a fun best friend. She also looks ready to model for a magazine cover every single moment. The horror.
When you're in high school you'll have like a small circle of friends, a few classmates in some of your classes you consider yourself friends with, and if you're in a club your club mates. Popular people will have at least a few friends in each class. She's doing pretty well for herself, and if she just joined the girl's basketball team or even volleyball she'd be super popular, depending on how into sports the school is. She's also attractive, so if she wanted a boyfriend she'd have PLENTY to choose from. Especially since she's NOT REALLY TALL FOR A GUY!
@@haku8135 yes. For the vast majority she ranges from femdom to slightly shorter. The short guys who now have a grade A femdom are lucky, and as for everyone else, only a goddamn lobotomite considers having a partner similar in height to be a dealbreaker.
@@conormeehan. She's truly oppressed!! Who cares about starving children in Brazil or African American people getting shot for literally no reason. She has size 13 nikes!!!! ;00000
annoys the fuck outta me when they wanna make the girl relatable and average they make her use wierd clothes , low make up and a wierd look. While the "hot " girl has better clothing and heavy make up. Liker her hot sister.
Right, like how many girls complain about being ugly so they slap on makeup. Everyone has something that bothers them and causes them to feel insecure. Don't know why everyone acting like they are so better. Back in high school all I heard was girls complaining about superficial things, and guys talking about getting more muscle and jelling their hair.
@Nick Gurr I was probably one of the taller kids back in my school, never got bullied for it. Then again, there were a lot of basketball and soccer fans at my school so anyone being tall was probably a blessing.
@@meganvincent5381 There are rumors that says she is the blonde girl that Olivia Rodrigo mentioned in the song. Although they did not confirm this, the damage was already done, people accuse her of stealing the guy.
But honestly we don't know the story. I just felt bad that fans almost ruined Sabrina's career. And even if she's "the blonde girl" she did not steal anyone. I can't side without knowing the whole story. It's up to you to believe
@@potatoman9415 r we talking real life actor sister? Or the character in the movie? There’s no way she stole anything if the only evidence they got is some song, a literal interpretative art. Really dumb.
As a kinda tall guy, I like getting stuff for shorter people who can't reach, it makes me feel. . . happy? Anyway, any tall person who hasn't tried that sort of thing is missing out.
@@angela.luntian They do exist, but they might be hard to find in a mall. But, the internet is your friend. I think "the problem" in "Tall Girl" was that you can't just buy them at the mall and that they are more expensive than just a standard heel at a shoe store. But to say they don't make 'm at all, is BS.
The tall girl: You don't know what its like to have everyone judge you just because of how you look! The black friend: You're right, I don't. The producer: Looks good, let's make it.
He's also the detective from the show Homecoming, which coincidentally enough, was written and directed by Sam Esmail, the creator/writer of Mr Robot......that was mentioned in this video.
Seriously though, imagine being a black female teenager in a large american city and having to constantly listen to your pretty, white, rich, blonde best friend complain about how hard her life is because she's taller than average
@@dinoguy3305 Oh yeah! Farquaad calls Shrek this "hideous monster", and Shrek acts like it's Donkey he's talking to! He literally makes tall castle/dick jokes against Farquaad and hates everyone and everything he comes across! XD
Ok but if she’s only 6’ 1” tall, does that mean that everybody else at the school is like 5’ 4” or shorter? Having that many short people is a more interesting premise than a tall girl.
“I have to tell you. It’s bad news. I am witness protection. Too many people know me. Save me Dunkle. I have to be as unpopular as you are. Teach me your ways.” -Pewdiepie
What kills me is when Stig comes into the class and writes the name of the molecule on the board and it's presented as this wow he's so smart moment but like he just counted the number of carbons like congrats you know the most basic chemistry
it's even more infuriating when you realise the number of bonds is not even correct, there is a carbon that is supposed to connect the cyclohexane ring to an isopropyl group and it has two bond and nothing else. So no, not even the basic stuff is correct.
Size 13 is pretty bad to shop for a girl, but she should be able to order it like I have to order pants that are long with a thin enough fit that I don't look like I'm drowning in pants.
This Cosmonaut Picture Show inspired me to watch the actual movie for kicks. I was surprised how much of a bad person Dunkleman is in the movie as well, would have been better if he ended up with no one. Or maybe the point is that he and tall girl are both bad people, thus perfect for each other. idk.
Just the stable living conditions give her privilege over the average kid. I mean, shit, I moved houses eleven times in my childhood. At three, then four, then four, then five, then eight, then nine, then ten, then eleven, then twelve, then almost thirteen, then fifteen. And I'm gonna move again in six months, making twelve. Funny thing, while typing, I kept remembering more and more houses. The original number was eight.
truly a peril to be a part of 1 percent of women who have the privilege of being taller then 6 feet. i guess shes now part of two separate 1 percent's.
" 'Oh I want a boyfriend.' From the beginning, she has a boy who's like 'I think you're beautiful and I don't care you're tall.' And she's like 'Well, I don;t f*ing care because you're too short!' " This perfectly sums up the whole thing...
This is true, but I think the bigger point they are making is that she hates that people don’t find her attractive for her height and whines about it, but she does the same thing to another person. Its a major double standard.
Anoushay Okhai I guess what I'm trying to say is that on one hand she's acting so depressed and upset about people making fun of her height, not having a boyfriend, etc. but then in the other hand she's got someone who supports her and genuinely likes her, in a normal mindset you would think she would at least appreciate him, treat him like a bff. However, from what I've seen in this series, she doesn't give two craps about the boy like he's not even there. It's frustrating for someone to be constantly making fun of, no doubt. But in this case it's really unfair and bit more frustrating for the boy imp.
Chieflife because her height she does have a bit of disadvantage than other girls, but nobody will be liked by everyone. I think that's a lesson she's yet to learn. Instead of sympathizing with her, I reckon the story that has been told makes her more like a typical case who's got a wrong and unhealthy mentality and expectation from the world around her... *cough as most feminists do these days *cough
I can confirm that in Spanish also happens with name translations. "Home Alone" is "My poor little angel" in Latin Spanish, for example. This is just a revenge for that
Samuikiku - well, I didn’t plan to care about this movie in any way, but now I want to write ironic fanfiction about those two dudes having a (b)romance
If she actually had gigantism I could imagine that her complaints may be justified, but she's 6'1 that's not even that far above average let's be real.
It's funny how towards the end of the film she says there's more to her than being a tall girl but spends all the film complaining about it showing that she has no personality or character beyond "tall." That's why the characters make fun of her. Not because of her height but her obsession with talking about and defining herself by her height.
that is every single bullys intention. if u get annoyed by something and keep retaliating then you'll get more and more bullied cos they know this shit pisses u off and ngl its fun to piss people off.
This TAWL GURL really out there thinking she has it bad while her sister has to assume medication to avoid her immune system freaking out and possibly killing her
i love that during the chemistry scene everyone involved is straight up wrong. his chemical formula is wrong (there are 11 carbons), the STRUCTURE the teacher drew is wrong (there are carbons that do not follow the octet rule) and it's also not even methanol. what. what is happening.
@@zrr2267 but so was every child... you talk about traumatizing children like it nbd. Look up attachment theory in psychology. The fact that their parents repeatedly brought them back to that woman to be subjected to all of that is so sad. How is a child supposed to trust their parent when they care more about vicarious fame then their kids emotional development. And I'm not saying anything bad against you. I'm just pointing out how fucked up it all was.
I like how she literally complains about wearing one of the most popular, expensive brands of shoes out there within the first few minutes of the movie
I was 6’2” in high school and I wasn’t picked on for my height ONCE. It was actually some of the tall kids at my school who picked on the shorter kids. This movie is so out of tune with reality that it’s actually maddening.
Tall Girl: "boy, I really do wish people would appreciate me for who I am and love me despite my height" Short Boy: "hey I love and appreciate you despite your height" Tall Girl: "eww not you"
No see she specifically wanted to be loved by someone taller than her. I am not joking, they pretty much say that in the movie right before the Swedish guy shows up. And at the end of the movie, that's supposedly her realizing that she doesn't need her dream guy to match her in height. I am dead serious.
@@elsie8757 fair, but she still treats this guy like shit constantly, while constantly complaining about her height. It wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue if she payed attention.
@@kowikowi7060 and how do you distinguish between them in what this guy is showing? Idk if you're tryna call me an incel but if you are it's unnecessary
you and others are mad because this movie isn't idealistic virtue signaling. it's not about having sympathy for the tall girl. its about a group of teenagers navigating their love life and making shallow mistakes.
Tall Girl should have just been a movie with a really good twist; it starts as the story of a really tall girl and then switches midway and just focuses on the unlikely friendship between a Swede and a midget
As a girl who is 4’11, I wish I could be 6’1. The problems and apparent bullying she faces are non-existent. Every once in a while someone would say “How’s the weather up there?” and that’s the only joke they have. Everyone seems to just instantly like her once she put her hair down and stopped borrowing the janitor’s uniform.
It is disappointing, but then again theses are the people who think tall, beautiful, well off, straight, white girls are the most oppressed minority in the world
Bruh, my female cousin was 6'4 in high school, and all she got for it was immense popularity and a full-ride volleyball scholarship to an ivy-league school.
@@Jewnboy I don't pretend to have the best hearing, but as far as I can see Monet and Manet, confusingly, has similar styles of painting. But props to you for getting me to look up a new artist today! :)
MrNoble1997 that line about my size 13 Nike’s + Your Tiny Nards = Pain is fucking stupid, and I have seen better well written famous quotes in video games, anime, and superhero comics.
It would have been interesting if they explored the psychology of the main character as a girl that was brainwashed by a perfectionist father that her height makes her monstruous and undesirable, so the movie would be actually about her accepting that the problem is not her height but having a toxic father that refuse to accept her. You would have people being attracted to her and maybe even flirting, but she never catches it or understands it because initially cannot believe anyone finds her attractive because of how she was brought up. That could have been something. Instead we got a cryfest that says nothing, means nothing and does nothing for anyone.
@@unoreversecard8129 this comment isnt that good if you are talking about the main commenter all he did was propose a generic drama trope that has been done thousands of times. but yes the comment section is quite better at coming up with better ideas than netflix.
Next time on netflix: red glasses girl? It's about a girl with red glasses.. She has trouble because she gets picked on by the girls with black glasses. Edit: I already sold the rights to Netflix so you boys better keep on eye out for a certain trilogy
