Thanks for reacting to another Tally Hall video, William! Trust me, there is definitely DEEP symbolism throughout the entirety of this video -- but it's not uncommon for people to have to watch it multiple times before some of it comes into focus. The fun thing about this video is, you can watch it dozens of times and still see something new with each viewing. If you like Tally Hall enough to watch another video -- a more narrative one -- then I would suggest the video for the song "The Whole World & You". Also, congrats on your sobriety and staying alive!

Absolutely! And thank YOU for watching, enjoying, and commenting! And indeed, I can't remember WHICH video today I explain, but I DO explain that I have trouble with symbolism and visual metaphor because of my previous history of alcoholism- brain damage makes it harder for me to interpret symbolism and visual metaphor- and I HATE it. I can REMEMBER being SHARP.

I can relate to that feeling of losing your wits. Maybe not to the same degree, but I understand your frustration. We certainly don't hold it against you for not seeing the symbolism! I don't want to speak for the band, but I think the most important thing is that you were entertained by the video. FUN TIP: If you watch it again, try to count the amount of cuts/edits and imagine how much time it took. That'll REALLY make you lose your mind!

This is the first song on their first album. And there are two songs before their song ‘welcome to tally hall’, so I think the “it” they’re talking about is the idea of Tally Hall as a band.

I never really focus on the symbolism of this video but in my opinion I think it's about the evolution of tv/entertainment? Because it ends with a video sharing website similar to early RU-vid and with the whole funeral of a tv But hey that's just my thoughts about it

Theres a few songs i'd love to see you react to, although I'm not sure if they have music videos. Dream Sweet in Sea Major-Miracle Musical, The Mind Electric-Miracle Musical, and Hidden in the Sand-Tally Hall. If none of those do, how about Turn the Lights Off- Tally Hall. I know that one has a video!

I personally think the song and video are about oversaturation of media, taking meaning out of art. Hence the funeral for the screen -- the death of art for consumerism.

Have you ever noticed how often people end up not only dead, but HORRIBLY and PAINFULLY dead in my SCPs? I guess that strong negative streak i have is still very present. Hmm. Kinda disturbing to realize, actually.

+NearlySeniorCitizen Yetagamer I most certainly have noticed that indeed, the theme of everyone ending with such a morbid fate is hard to miss. It is quite creative and stirs ones imagination though, so said strong negative streak definitely doesn't deliver boredom. I am always on the lookout for any genuine positivity in your videos, demeanor, SCP's etc and have faith that'll become far more common in the future. Until then, a bit of dark humor never hurt anyone.

That's what I TRY to keep it as- gallows humor. I'm NOT using it as a cry for help or any such thing. And I am CERTAINLY not trying to horrify anyone. I spent 15 years working as a nurse's aide in nursing homes, and let me tell you... when you deal with the aged, the dying, the dead... you QUICKLY gain a THICK skin and an absolutely HORRIBLE sense of humor. And I mean *dark*. But even so, I am trying to use simple gallows humor, no more.
