Ah, one of the coolest buggies to ever come out of the Tamiya factory. And kudos to whomever selected the tracks on this video. I remember playing very similar mixes of both tracks waaay back in the day when I was cool, and I used to DJ at some night clubs, back in my College years.
You were a dj to mate??!! How cool! 😎 I was heavily into the underground rave scene from 1991 through to around 2009..... I used to dj out at clubs, pubs, illegal field raves, raves in barns, on piers etc for many years throughout this period!! But, it wasn't this modern 'auto beat sync button pushing nonsense' .... It was proper beat mixing using two technics 1210 direct drive turntables, a pioneer DJM mixer and vinyl! I used to mix acid house, hardcore breakbeat, jungle, deep mystical/funky D/B, hip hop and a little bit of trance to depending on the event!! Happy days for sure, music was my life back then, and was partying hard until the sun came up every weekend! 🤣 Unfortunately, it's a lifestyle that can't really be maintained as you rapidly approach your 40's..... I needed to slow down a little bit, and that's pretty much the time I picked up the RC hobby again after a 30+ year break away from it! I have fond (albeit 'hazy') memories from this period, and still love my music. This classic trance track went perfectly with this video..... @@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC too funny, my man! I did the same thing, I DJ'd raves, Toronto night clubs, and many smaller events back in my early 20's. And like you, I was a "true" DJ, spinning vinyl, with a manual mixer, none of this "beat match" computer crap that "DJ's" today use. I started off playing a lot of UK Hard House (Madam Zu type sound), and eventually found my home when I bought a set of Microh turntables that would spin 20% faster than Tech 12's. I then morphed into the Happy Hardcore scene, and DJ Supersonic was born! Hahaha. I would pride myself on playing faster than any other DJ would dare to. Some hated it, many loved it. It was a ton of fun, and like you, we partied many a night, we'll into the next day. Ahhhh, the good ol' days... But now, I'm back to being a fully responsible 45 year old adult, playing with RC cars, and making videos about saod RC cars on the internet. Lol! 😆🍻

I loved the UK breakbeat hardcore from around 91 to 94.....and clearly remember it morphing into more of a four beat techno style, getting faster and faster after 95! 🤣 😂 Thats when I split off into the jungle sound, which eventually led me into deep/mystical DnB with a touch of soul/jazz/funk elements around the late nineties! I used to be known for my long, rolling interlocking mixes and beat chopping on the fader! 🤣 But, loved all styles from house through to garage, hip hop, trance etc.... Had many extremely 'euphoric/messy' nights..... a great time to be growing up indeed. Unfortunately from the year 2k the music all became watered down, too formulated, less experimental and too commercialised..... It all just lost its soul in my eyes. The vibe changed, the substances deteriorated, the whole mood shifted and I knew it was time to get out. Maybe it's just an age thing, who knows? And that's where it all went full circle.... I was heavily into RC between 1985 to 1991,but totally lost Interest in favour of music/raving around the time Tamiya released the original top force. Then, some 30 years later in my 40s I stumbled across Tamiya legends, Mark Bryan RC, and RC Kicks on you tube totally by chance! This grabbed my interest again, I wasnt even aware RC was still a thing! Before I knew it I dug out my original midnight pumpkin that I had in 1988 and restored it, and absolutely loved both restoring it, and driving it again! It was all downhill from there, totally hooked again!! Suddenly, I have 30+ cars, countless RC channel subscriptions...... and then came up with the silly idea to start a channel last year, and Greenhawks was born!! 🤣 Talk about 'go back to go forward'!! I can certainly see our similarities, just by looking at the cars you have on display..... driven by the same source of nostalgia! Most excellent!! 🤣 👍 👍 👍

Wicked build …decals are perfect, the music just goes with this video to. Anyone else see the house in the background ….who puts god awful tacky decorations up nearly 3 weeks early! Some people must have to much time on there hands! Keep up the good content chaps and lady

Awesome kit Guys!!!!!! People always say the chassis on those break, my Son had one back in the 90's with a Trinity Midnight motor and he jumped it, crashed it into trees and polls, his never broke. Great Run!!!!
Hey Bob!! I remember hearing of the chassis breaking a lot on the Falcon,but these seem bullet proof even though they share the same chassis! Just as with its sibling the stadium blitzer,these are a very fun and great handling model. Just needs a faster motor now,the suoerstock rz turns this thing into a lively beast! The BB is such a cool looking buggy! The decals are a pain to do but make it look so fun! I am really lucky to have the yard and the track to run on, I'd go bonkers being stuck in the tiny yard! I am sure we will see it out ripping around somewhere larger soon! Have fun with it!!

She built it and decaled it all by herself in less than a day, that chicks got great skills with a screwdriver and wrench!!! Amazing work Moo Moo! I love the look of this chassis and feel it will be in the OAG fleet at some point. The colour scheme is so good! Can’t believe between James and Taylor it ended up in a pond 🤪 You two would be the last people I send out with my newly built RC… surprised it didn’t end up in a tree 👍🏻

We thought a nice Trance anthem would build nicely as the build progressed, think it worked well fella. Yeah, this is a cracking little runner.... I love the stadium blitzer as well, being a truck fan and all that. Just needs a hotter motor I feel. Ah such a shame you lost yours, and what a way to go getting burned alive! 😬😩🔥 I think you need to build a tribute blitzer in the original ones memory.... Lol.... Yes indeed Sir!! I keep telling them about those awful plastic bushes! I ALWAYS install bearings in all of my builds, even the shelf queens! In fact I really don't see why Tamiya don't include bearings in all kits as standard.... they are so cheap now compared to what they used to be back in the eighties! Yes indeed Sir, those are some very long drive shafts..... certainly has a wide and low stance this one, which helps contribute to how well it handles. As for those cheap servos.... I think it is all they had lying around at the time mate. I won't go near those crappy things anymore- They are slow, they struggle to re center under load and they are extremely unreliable..... but I suppose that's what to be expected for £6!!!! It's a very fun and pretty tough buggy though that's for sure. Cheers Fred! 😊 👍 👍 👍
Highly recommend Thad. It's a great, tough, well balanced chassis with it's low and wide stance. Just could benefit with a superstock rz or even a brushless set up to pep it up a bit I think.
