Unboxing the Tamiya Lunchbox Black Edition Looking at what makes this different to the Standard Edition Tamiya Lunchbox Upgrades Discussed Why do we love the Tamiya Lunchbox?
Thank you for watching this video! We are having a big push trying to get the subs up for the channel, please consider liking and subscribing and I am sure I will see you on another video!!👍👍❤✔
This is going to look awesome! Amazing how many upgrades are available for the lunchbox. If you haven’t tried one I can highly recommend the transmission brace mod. They can be picked up for a couple of quid on eBay and it stops the slap of the rear transmission 👍🏻🙌🏻
@@RCsoandso glad I am not alone! I must have missed that during the unboxing. Looking forward to seeing how that Servo Saver works out. Has been in and out of the OAG basket for the last few months 😂
@@theoagrc keep it in, its a belter of a servo, the Chief Engineer has used it on the Monster Beetle I think as well. I prefer higher torque ones, as I usually expect issues 🤣
That thing is gonna be a tank!! The black and red will really look great together. Personally I would just strip the blue from the steering linkages but you probably won't see much of them anyways!
Great choise bro. The Black Edition is a masterpiece. Black body, smoked chrome, dark stickers and these are precutted. Please drive her carefull. This was the first video of yours where I almost cried😉. Looking forward what you'll do of this kit👍
Cool. I have a guess what you might be doing with the shell but staying quiet 😎 Not sure if you watched my Lunchy video re the Fastrax shock but a heads up if not. The vibrations at the rear of the LB which results in wheel nuts undoing themselves without threadlock also caused the ball end on my shocks to come loose. To fix that I put some plumbers tape on the threads and not had an issue since.
I had the exact same issue with my Lunchbox, and I used Tamiya oil shocks. Not only the back ones but the front ones also. They have blobs of glue at key points now and seem to have held well. It’s an ongoing struggle 😂😆
It is a popular one, I wonder if they are looking at releasing a new colour in February and maybe that’s why stocks are low, that could be interesting to see if they do 🤔💭
Im always amazed at the distance the cover, problem is the further the range, the longer the walk to kick it right side up when it lands like a turtle 😂👍
Hi there, the Black edition Lunchbox and upgrades is going to look awesome. I suppose you could always spray the front blue steering arms red to match. But the chief engineer is going to be really busy getting stuck into, what is going to turn out to be a Lunchie with attitude! 😉😊😉. Take care, keep well and all the very best. 😉😊
Oh yeah the Lunchbox is the one that got me back into the hobby a few years back. Very simple but so much fun. I did have to explain the concept of Trigger's broom to Mikael at Nordic RC when he'd replaced nearly everything on one of his cars. That is quite a haul of upgrades you have there. I've never gone that far with upgrading a Lunchbox. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the body. Good stuff. Best wishes guys 😀
Yes it’s no secret how much we like a good Lunchbox. Im surprised that Only Fools and Horses has not been ran on a constant loop in other countries also, and DelBoy had a monster beetle. Let’s hope all these bits and bobs don’t shake themselves off all the time! Hope all is good with you 👍
@@RCsoandso Hey they had a Monster Beetle on Men Behaving Badly. It was never referenced but was on the side somewhere in the lounge or kitchen as I remember.
@@RCsoandso cvas that they make for it well I bought cva's recently for the holiday buggy and it wasn't that bad it was less than 30 bucks but I don't know the lunch boxes might be more.
Yes it was but it’s been swapped for a Torque Tuned as it runs better. For around £30 you can get Etronix Pulse GFSK EX2 Sport 2.4ghz 2ch Wheel Radio ET1060, I used to use one and it did the job spot on 👍
@@RCsoandso thank you so much! So the transmitter and receiver combo and a servo is all I’ll need? (Apart from batteries!) is the torque tuned you mention a servo?
@@TheBoarder360 the radio comes with a transmitter. The torque tuned is a motor. As long as you have a servo (around £15) you should be fine. Did it come with an ESC, if not the Tamiya TBLE04 is a great one ☝️
It must be hard to get kits where ever your at because why in the hell would you put $400 in hop ups in a kit that's worth about $150 it's only 2wd as well it's just a waist! Ralphie with your tip for the day!!!!!!
I think your maths are wrong there, unless aluminium is in short supply where you are from. The upgrades are not as expensive as the kit. We use our Lunchboxes all the time and test them to the limit so making them bomb proof as much as possible saves in the long run. 2WD can be fun, and the Lunchbox has a natural charm 🤷♂️👍
@@RCsoandso no that's all good I just think there are much better Tamiya kits for that money, I've a lot of 2wd kits that I'd rather spend on then a lunch box! But that's America 🇺🇸
The amount of after market parts for the entire Tamiya range is astonishing, it’s good to upgrade your favourites or at least the ones you use more on a regular basis. I doubt there are any TT02 models out there that haven’t got something extra inside 👍
